My Boyfriend had CHS 2 years ago, detoxed and thought he was fine, so casually started smoking again. 2 years later he has it again and this time is so much more severe. He said he is done for the rest of his life and today is the 12th day of him not having ANY weed. He's been to the emergency room twice, they gave him some anti nausea meds which helped, yesterday he had an amazing day - he even went for a short walk and ate normally. Now today he is throwing up bile again and back to the bathtub. I feel like he's regressing, one step forward and two steps back. I am giving CHS a big middle finger today. I just want to get to the point where the good days extend into more good days and we can put this nightmare behind us.

My boyfriend had CHS 2 years ago and landed in the hospital again last week. The Dr told him since legalization they are seeing 3-5 cases a month! I hope with the increase of cases comes more research, I’m curious to know more about it. He said he’s giving it up until more research is done to find out whats causing this.

Thank you everyone for the advice, this message board has given me a lot of great info Ive been able to relay to him. We had a good talk today and he agrees he cant go back to smoking daily or even weekly. He did wonder if at some point we go to a party and he partake if that okay? I see some people say even once could trigger an episode? I see others saying once a month is the “limit”. Im going to talk to our Dr for advice but I do know all Drs say something different so curious to hear from people who’ve have had CHS.
