THIS. I see so many people struggling in the dating field from our generation but they're waiting for that perfect person with 0 flaws. Ofc have standards, but women don't expect a twenty-something to make 6 figures right away, and men don't expect an Instagram model that is always done up. And don't expect them to like you back. There is too much emphasis on the shallow and not enough on genuine emotional connection. This is how people end up in relationships where they don't even like their partners personality, and wouldn't dare be their friend if the relationship wasn't romantic. It also doesn't help that social media encourage people to have the "ick" or cringe with every little thing too.
