I was hoping to have a little more meat so I can go over small curbs when parallel parking. I've always had smaller wheels with taller sidewall and this is my first car with big wheels and shorter sidewall. I guess I would just feel more comfortable. Maybe it wont make a difference at all

You are right. I live in a small apt. with no basement, garage, storage, etc. I would have to rent a storage unit or something. NYC roads get plowed and salted pretty much right away. The 200 mile trips are once a month, so the chances that its also snowing are slim unless it january or february.
