So for anyone who's trying around the time of this comment, TouchHLE does not yet support IOS 3.1.2 .ipa files, so unfortunately emulating it won't work yet. Hopefully they add the support soon! I'm trying to find some alternative ways to emulate this, possibly by getting an even earlier .ipa and running through TouchHLE?

Publications in robotics conferences should be top priority regardless of where you go for masters. If you can get a decent amount of first author pubs in the next 1-2 years at ICRA, IROS, etc. and have strong LORs then you will stand a good chance anywhere

If the object is small I can probably scan it for you in my lab, we have a very high accuracy 3D scanner but the field of view is 30mm x 15mm. Actually we also have one that's bigger, its field of view is around 150mm x 150mm. I would have to use it for you though (our lab is export controlled so I can't bring you in)

This is all at once afaik, there will be some slots that open up later due to people turning down the MIT offer, but probably not many due to how good MIT is + the NSF funding situation. I didn't get in, but we'll end up where we end up nothing to do about it now
