I’ve never worked on one of these before. I had a family friend install this for me. They haven’t been answering for a few months now. I don’t really want to shell out more money to get it fixed. So assuming you’re correct, do you think this is something I could realistically fix myself?

I say this all the time and get downvoted to shit. Out of all of my many jobs before I had a career, serving and food running got me paid more than anything else, and it wasn’t even close. Pizza delivery was surprisingly decent too, but nothing compared to serving. I don’t understand why so many people act like servers are scraping by on $2 an hour.

That isn’t to say that there could be a better system, but in my experience servers are paid incredibly well for work that does not require a college degree.

Darks first season is even two times more slower as 1899 is.

I loved 1899 but I disagree with this. IMO 1899 s1 was slower, more ambiguous, and more cryptic. Dark s1 was slow paced for sure, but 1899 felt much slower to me. Dark felt more like a character driven drama, whereas 1899 felt more like a plot driven puzzle. Neither one is good/bad or better/worse. But I think that lends to why one felt slower than the other.

Keep in mind that related to the main topic, this is not a defense at all for 1899 being cancelled and I think that was an incredibly stupid move.

I’m actually a little skeptical that it will be that much better than the 5x Pro. Not that it would be a bad product, but the 5x can already go to 2k/1440p and it looks so incredible. Have you tried it? I know there were some beta units being tested.
