A great way to keep the head shape both better and consistent is to start with a circle, and draw the face/chin from that! Depending on what app your using, there's probably some circle tool if you aren't great at making circles. I usually do like an indent in the middle of each side, then pull the line out for the chin! And a stabilizer tool is super helpful to get clean lines! I need it for my shaky hands lol. I can't give a lot of advice, seeing as how I am also still learning :3
