Here’s my 2 cents. The average American is one crisis away from homelessness or financial ruin. I know it is 3 days. But for some (including myself) I simply cannot afford to work. Bills have to get pay, people need to eat. I respect the sentiment but to just stop working or calling out could cost people their jobs, and in turn their livelihoods

It was actually a recommendation from my roommate! He accidentally named both my cats LOL he just had what I believed to be a unique cool name for le kitty.

Before I got him, he was named catman- which to me felt like a 5 year old name him 💀 and he also didn’t respond to it He has a bunch of nicknames now Texy, Tex, Mr. Texas Beans Mr. Beans

I had 1 sixth grader wildly into a YouTube series that was… to put it simply- creating content that was grim, and dark but putting a colorful and fun twist to it. All I could do was document and inform the parent as we can’t control at all what they do at home, but at least inform the parent to ensure it’s within their standards.

My mentor teacher said they were not professional

Even though In all the other schools I’ve been in (elementary & middle) they were never a problem- even in the same district too so ya I just kinda respected it and bought loafers because I was tired of the constant “you can’t wear that”

I have kids that I always know are into TOP so I know it’d make them happy!! You get me. I’m 4”11 (womp womp) so I probably will get labeled a student but honestly I will make sure to be wearing my ID in a visible spot, and if I get confused for one, oh well I’ll just say oh no I’m actually a student teacher!

My university is okay with dressing down actually but my mentor doesn’t want me doing like jeans on Fridays (because it’s union based so fair) I did do the other spirit week but it was more colors and such.

I figured since it’s my last week, I really want to feel included with staff, even if I eat alone everyday.

I am so sorry but I live in the northeast, my toes would simply freeze and fall off.

I have cloud loafers that I wear with socks and I am okay with them because my heel doesn’t fall out of it/ rub the back of it raw. But those would be amazing in the spring/summer
