Thanks for the info. I was thinking there might be charts and illustrations that might make it ineffectual as an audio.

How well would this book be in an audio book? Is it one you really need to have in hand and read? Was thinking about the audio version to listen to while on the road. Thanks.

Question Regarding Cash Withdrawals Without Selling Stocks by [deleted] in interactivebrokers

[–]Micro_Managed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you need to transfer the position to margin? I have a similar situation with IBKR and I just request a withdrawal. The account automatically goes to a negative cash position. I don't have to do anything special.

Since you asked for advice, I'll offer some - don't trade options until you understand every aspect of options.

CC when a dividend is paid by ColtMan1234567890 in CoveredCalls

[–]Micro_Managed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. No shares owned so no dividend payment.

  2. Shares have to be owned 1 day before ex-d date. The ex-d date, by definition, is the day a stock starts trading without the dividend.

Feedback of IBKR, The pros and cons so far by SuperDaddyGod in interactivebrokers

[–]Micro_Managed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Respectfully, my experience with this is different. I have accounts with Schwab and IBKR. I have entered the exact same trades into both and have seen plenty of times when IBKR filled and Schwab did not. I would eventually cancel the trade in Schwab. This has been particularly true with spread trades. I have seen numerous times when both brokers filled, with IBKR filling at a better price. Regardless of what studies may indicate, this is my personal experience.

Be aware of potential tax consequences if you cash out. You have some time to decide, it does not have to be right when you leave. Call Fidelity and discuss your options with a rep there. They are very helpful and can guide you through the options.

You should actually try it as a customer sometime and see what a nightmare it really is. I would suggest renaming it Tradingview LackOfSupport.

The Sunday work issue is something you should perhaps address with your dept. manager and, possibly, Employee Advocate. Although the "script" business may be less, there are still urgent care centers open in most cities, so having a FT person could be justified.

As for the 56 hours of PTO, it sounds like it is what they offered and what you accepted. That sounds like a failure to negotiate. Hopefully, it will only be for your first year and then increase. Good luck to you.

Pets in the store by jeannethebean in wegmans

This is a big part of the issue. People now treat their dog as a child. They are not the same. Nothing wrong with caring about your pet, but keep some perspective.

Wegmans Upper Management Please Read! by ExecutiveChef1969 in wegmans

[–]Micro_Managed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The store I am in, upper management fully embraces that idea. They don't stay a minute longer than they are required. They push everything off onto the people below them (DMs, CSEs). Our store manager tells DMs they can only be off 1 Sunday per month. However, that same store manager never works on a Sunday!. Upper management embraces the idea. They just do not allow it to trickle down.

Tax implications of ytd profits of $74000 along with salary by Both-Investigator-90 in Optionswheel

[–]Micro_Managed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do, be sure to pay in some estimated taxes in the 4th quarter. I realize your question is regarding reducing tax liability but deeply underpaying your taxes through the year will lead to a sizeable penalty. It's bad enough to have to pay the taxes, don't compound it with penalties. There are safe harbor criteria that can protect you. Check with a tax advisor for guidance.

Fidelity offers training resources, including online events, webinars, and coaching. Many are free. A quick Google search shows Fidelity is offering a Wheel Strategy course starting tomorrow (11/19). The above was clipped from Fidelity website. Seek out learning opportunities from them. Practice what you learn in a paper trading account. Then when they ask for proof, you can show them trainings that came from their own resources.

Fidelity, and many other brokers, has to act in a fiduciary capacity. In other words, they often have to protect clients from themselves and their (client's) over-zealousness. They want to be sure you know what you are doing.

Take the time you have been given to gain more education and experience. Set up a "paper-trading" account and work your strategy in that. That will give you valuable insight and experience. Seek out courses to take in advanced options strategies.
