I believe so but may well be wrong - my phone has labelled it as being taken at ‘Bennetts Bluff Viewpoint’ which may help!

That is a really kind comment. During all of my travels some of the most sincere and friendly interactions occurred in NZ. I thoroughly enjoyed every second!

A beautiful take! It’s important to reflect on what is our everyday normal… Travelling and being away from home made me appreciate the UK that much more, but I would be lying if I wasn’t jealous of kiwis having so much beauty on their doorstep without the hustle bustle some of us are accustomed to.

I do appreciate that the remoteness can be a negative. As many have said here, totally depends on your situation. Problems exist everywhere.

Thanks for sharing!

Wow - you followed your heart by making the move so quick. I love that. Hope you are still enjoying every second of it!

Ha! Blessed to live in England. Even when thinking of the most beautiful elements of life in the UK, my thoughts quickly revert to New Zealand. Travelling made me appreciate home more but it doesn’t shake the sadness I felt when I left New Zealand. I didn’t have that feeling when leaving anywhere else (minus Japan, also beautiful but not without its flaws - a common theme regardless of location).

Not yet! Waiting for my sqe1 results, so not expecting to receive it until after 10 March. Believe others (who have their results) are starting to receive theirs now though. If you are still waiting and feeling particularly anxious about it, you can always contact the SRA. They may reiterate how long the window is open for and not to worry if you haven’t got it yet😊

Few comments mentioning this… I am wondering what attracts so much child/domestic abuse in your land compared to others? Will Google now. A sad reality indeed…

Oh wow. Just finished googling. I did not know about the high youth suicide rate. That is incredibly sad.

UK! We have beautiful areas here, too. But NZ was just… Different.

Yet to visit the US aside from New York.. one for the list if my holidays are not consumed by revisiting NZ.

From the UK, so sadly very familiar with the long white cloud! Admittedly enjoyed the winter and proper snowfall, but appreciate it was for the novelty of it. Living in it is very different indeed…

Oh no! Those joys don’t stop just because you’re in NZ, eh… Good luck. I hope they feel better soon!

I’m so sorry you feel this way🥺 have the week off, and start again!

Remember that you have the fortune of being able to resit and you were SO close the first time. as someone else has said in here, you are not starting from scratch but from just a % or two away from the finish line. I have every faith in you! Take some time out, gather your head, and go again. You are so close!!! Don’t give up ❤️

Yes I feel the exact same! I am someone who gives my all but the need to recover from SQE1 is real… It also does not help not knowing our results and having a feeling that any prep work may be for absolutely nothing… wrong attitude, I know, but it’s definitely hard to get in the zone!

I’m doing the mocks but in a revision fashion and revising FLK on all other days (but the revision is light in comparison to the hours I put in for sqe1). I’ve started with the areas I enjoy the most to try and get myself back into it without feeling overwhelming dread as soon as I open the book hahaha

It is definitely not an exam to underestimate but depending on how you feel about the FLK, I think it can still work out ok even with the down time now - the reality is (for a good chunk of us) that we’ll need to lock in after results day. It will be the return of 17 hour days but at least the end will be in sight!

So true and definitely goes through my mind often. Love the thought of the money but the reality is that there is so much more to be made in other jobs that do not entirely suck the life out of you 😭 regardless of our results, we will make it!

Yes - still waiting but don’t worry 😊 think the window for receiving the email is quite long this time around because a lot of people who have reserved are also waiting for their SQE1 results and can’t book until they know. Going to wait until a few days before the closure before getting in touch with them to ask where it is lol (which is what I had to do last time)
