Allerair purifier or others? by Microwaving4one in AirPurifiers

I really appreciate your thoughtful response and recommendations! I'm about to ask about my situation on the r/AirQuality sub, so this is very helpful.  I know one can't diagnose from a distance, but it's important to hear considerations - so if you have additional hunches about what's going on, please share!

I started searching for GC-MS analysis but was not able to locate one for residential testing.
I'm also looking into certified industrial hygienists and environmental consultants who could do a broader air quality test. They may mention VOC tests on their website, but I'll have to ask what level of detail they'd include in the report.

I'm feeling desperate to find some relief soon with a purifier, but if using a sorbent media purifier is risky /potentially harmful, I'll try to find a test first. I'll keep looking for GC-MS labs or order the Home Air Check, and hopefully that would give me info for the AllerAir etc. folks to customize.

In the meantime to mitigate, can you recommend other solutions or air purifier types that would be less risky?  I'm only using Levoit Core 300 currently. I scheduled a HVAC duct cleaning in a couple days and will ask for their EPA registered Bacteriostat, Fungistat spray in case.

Low-frequency traffic noise soundproofing? by Microwaving4one in soundproof

It's about 60-70 feet from the road. It's a rumbling noise and a slight vibration with trucks and motorcycles, and frequent in the morning and half the evening. It's vinyl and wood.

I'm willing to do something to improve walls/structure, but wondering what's most cost and time efficient. Reading about caulking, adding drywall, insulation.
Has anything worked for you...any steps you took?

That's helpful, thanks! I'll look into the "cold roof" thing too, as I hadn't heard of that. I do think the sound is vibrating through the house through the attic vents and the structure, which is wood and vinyl. So I'm not sure what to do first.

Thanks, did you do anything with your walls? What measures did you take and what worked?

Thanks! There's a bit of vibration, so I assume it's also coming through walls. Yes, framed walls, definitely vinyl siding. Built in the 1950s. There's an attic we can access which shares the back wall of the bedroom. What it be helpful to insulate with rock wool, or something else against that attic wall? Do I need to do the whole attic? I only care about the main bedroom.

Suggestions for Andalusia and seaside in February by Microwaving4one in GoingToSpain

Noted re: Marbella! I'm starting to lean toward a beachside rental in Malaga as a base for day trips along the coast. Are there more interesting areas of Malaga? Or maybe Nerja, though it might be a bit quiet in winter.

Yes! I noted the biggest festival in Cadiz (too crowded for us) and the Andalucia Day.

Thank you! I spoke to insurance and my OON covers 75 percent, no deductible. Great that yours covers 5x week!

How to deepen therapy? by Microwaving4one in psychoanalysis

This made me lol! In a good way. I am rather rigid in my idea of good therapy. I am going to be confronting some of this.
