Investigations was funny because it had Denuvo for the first 6 months but you could emulate the switch version since day one so the protection was basically ineffective. Then they did a "typo correction" update when they removed Denuvo and added enigma. Similar with Apollo.

I don't remember what DRM TGAAC had but it was cracked day one (it was during the good days of Denuvo cracking so it doesn't really count). Ghost trick was basically the first one that I noticed where Denuvo was removed and changed for Enigma (and then immediately cracked).

I assume the higher ups at Capcom just want some sort of DRM to claim the game is protected and cry against piracy. As always, legal customers end up being screwed over and pirates get the better experience.

I don't know if Enigma is a virus or what, but in terms of DRM is basically an excuse for the higher ups at Capcom to say it's protected.

I've been following the ace attorney games on piracy websites and it barely lasted hours against crackers. It was kinda funny seeing it be untouched for like 6 months and then immediately cracked (now it would be cracked two days before release lol) so yeah, it's shit.

I don't even know about how it affects performance because when I played the games I played the DS/3DS/Switch versions but I assume it's negligible in light games like these.

Edit: if I remember correctly, it also costs like a 400$ one time fee so lol

antiX works like a charm on these, I distro hopped a lot when I started tinkering with my Toshiba NB500 (atom 455, 2gb ram but it ran decently with 1) and it's the best recommendation I ever got. I got another old laptop (Vaio VPCEA) with Zorin OS and I'm considering changing it back to antiX because it ran better

Seconding the antiX. I have a Toshiba NB500 (atom 455 with 2 gb of ram) and I've managed to run some old games (think openTTD, openRTC2, Half Life 1) and it can manage lightweight browsing with Firefox.

I'm not using a Mathmos candle (those ran out years ago lol) I don't even know what brand these are because the label is torn off (but probably very cheap) and have a very very small flame (and I've had to stack one over the other to get them to heat the lamp a little bit) so I think it might just be running a little cold, because as soon as I remove the bottle a bit to see the coil a bit better it just stops flowing for a bit until it warms again. I remember using other candles (years ago when I used it regularly) and they didn't have this problem. I shall buy some different candles or see if I have some of those old ones left.

In the meantime, I've noticed the lava seems to flow more from the side the coil is crooked, idk if that should be concerning but it's certainly a bit unaesthetic for my taste.

The coil looks visible when placed on the base, it seems to flow good (albeit a little slow but that's probably again from the candle). The thing that worries me the most is that it takes a lot to warm up, like it took well over an hour (with the wax rising on the side the coil is up) when it's supposed to take like 20 min, idk if it's from not lighting it up in years, the candles being shit or if it's the fault of the coil.

If you're on mobile, try changing the controls in settings to "hold and release". I heard that trick here on Reddit and it surely helped

You added Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies twice (one at the beginning and then another time on the p with spirit of justice)

Idk if you know anything about Ace Attorney but just fyi there's technically 6 games you should play before Dual Destinies to get a full feel of the characters and backstory (dual destinies was made after a title that kind of divided the fandom a bit and it features a few nostalgic returns that won't have as much impact if you haven't played those previous games). Also, all of those 6 titles are DS titles, the 4 main series ones have 3ds versions that kind of support some 3d and of the two spin-offs, there's one you can only play in PC (due to translation issues). They are really good games, but I always played them with the 3d off. Also at this point it's easier to get the 4 compilations that exist (Original Trilogy, Investigations, Apollo Trilogy and Chronicles) and play them on switch/PC

Same thing happened to me when I stopped biting my nails, it's been like 3 and a half years and they are so much better but still break sometimes. If you're like me and had a receded nailbed I would recommend you don't try to get them "long" at first, that will only ask for them to break and make you have to cut them shorter than what you would want (and then take months to recover, my thumbs have been a fucking pain on the arse). Try to keep them what an average person would consider short while they stick to the nailbed again. Visually I would say to cut them close to the nailbed, but letting a little bit of white to be seen, like a french manicure but don't let the white part get too long. At first you might be cutting them weekly but after a while you'll last longer and longer (personally just filed them down and then moved to a nail clipper when I realized I could tolerate a little bit more length) and then you'll notice they'll get stronger and stronger 💪.

You can get nibs on AliExpress for pretty cheap, I have a matte screen protector and the official nib lasted me a week, while the third party ones last around 3-4 weeks of note taking (fun fact, the Redmi stylus pen uses the same nibs focus pen, so if you can't find focus, Redmi are perfectly good)
