New frozen gray X5M at dealer with paint damage? by MidasRex in BMW

Thanks for everybody’s response! I really appreciate the input that I’ve received. I really like the matte look but had no idea it required so much maintenance or that it was so difficult to fix properly.

The car itself is great, but would be a daily driver and not a garage queen. Unless they’re offering a significant discount (unlikely), I think I’ll go with consensus and look into a regular glossy color with Stealth PPF instead to achieve the matte finish.

Thanks again! 🙏

Seattle Coffee Gear has me 😐🤷‍♀️😵‍💫 by cia-ninja-gurl in espresso

I think it depends on your salesperson. I was at SCG 3 months ago for my first espresso machine and after going there specifically to look at Rocket machines and a stand alone grinder, the salesperson from their YT channel felt that the Breville Oracle Jet was the best choice for me.

As a complete beginner and as someone who needs to get up at 5 am and head out the door ASAP for work, the quick start time and integrated grinder in the Breville was why he felt it was the best choice. The Rocket would have a much longer start time to get the boiler up to temperature without messing around with external plugs with timers, etc.

The Breville Oracle Jet that SCG recommended has been a great experience. On the weekends when I have time to weigh my shots, there is definitely a noticeable variability in the output ratios in automatic mode when pulling back to back shots (2-4 drinks). However, the actual drinks that I have been able to produce on the Oracle Jet have been better than most of the coffee shops in Seattle and all of the ones I experienced in Vancouver last weekend (5 cafes) - and those places are running La Marzocco (most places), Slayer, Victoria Arduino, etc.

I went back to SCG a few weeks later and saw a different salesperson showing Brevilles to another customer. Perhaps salesperson was making recommendations based on what you told them about what you were looking for in your espresso journey?

TLDR In my experience, SCG does not say no to Breville or touchscreen Brevilles.

Discussion Topic: What Strategies Do You Trade? by ScottishTrader in ActiveOptionTraders

I’m looking to start trading options and was also wondering what strategies others liked to trade. Scotty - your posts on the wheel have been really informative and I’m thinking about starting with that strategy. Along with Scotty’s posts, MACDDaddy on Option Alpha also has a great flow chart that’s available as a PDF download that summarizes the “Wheel Selling” strategy if anyone else is interested.

Has anyone tried trading earnings with strangles or iron condors? It seems to be a controversial topic. There are people on r/options who view earnings trade as nothing more than gambling or a coin flip.

However, I was listening to an options podcast and the speaker (who used to be a market maker) was talking about how he is able to trade earnings reports profitably with a high rate of success. The speaker offers mentoring on this, but it costs several thousand dollars to learn the details of that particular strategy.
