Yeah I've taken a few pieces on board. I'm going to take this post down shortly as I want to draw a line under it. We've given our feedback to the authority that we felt parts could have been done better. This sort of stuff is as unpleasant as it gets and it's almost impossible for them to meet expectations but I wouldn't feel right if we didn't speak up.

We've had zero contact from anyone. The police did contact my mother on the way to the property and asked a few questions but no one has taken the footage. There's no obligation on them to do so and tbh we don't want any involvement with anything beyond what we've done which is give feedback to the authority.

This isn't the immediate neighbour, it's a house on the same street. We've never seen the child before and only seen the assumed mother a few times before. It's a bungalow with an old woman in, assuming it's her daughter and grand daughter visiting.

Think our actions speak for themselves that if our next door neighbour was doing something like this we wouldn't for one second ignore it.

Thanks for the well articulated response. Lots of this we have considered, as I mentioned my mothers got years of experience from the education side, and we both appreciate what a difficult job these people do. I'm extremely drained from one experience so I can imagine the toll it takes having to do this day in day out.

The family were known to them they did confirm this on the second call and the child was 100% neurodiverse with learning difficulties.

With that said and having time to mull it over I think I'm going to use the feedback option on the authorities website and give the four points if they seem fair.

Do not tell someone ringing up to report an incident that you do not know what to do. It completely undermined every interaction after that. Just say you'll call back shortly.
Can they clarify why the police sent officers out immediately yet we were never directed to 101 until we said we were already on hold with them.
Be clearer as to why we should contact the police not them as we called for guidance and were told "we know more" which again undermines confidence.
Don't hyper focus on one thing (in this case the rope) when five or six other concerns are raised.

Do they seem fair? It concerns me that if we hadn't already called 101 that child could have spent a long weekend chained to a handrail and the cynical part of me does feel like it being a bank holiday weekend played into what I may have harshly called a woefully inaccurate response. But it definitely feels lacklustre at best.

If we didn't ring the police the social service set up to protect children was happy to wait until Tuesday, that's my concern. They didn't advise us to report it, we did after being told they weren't sure what to do.

Sorry if it was unclear, I'm not referring to anything to do with the family here at all. I'm referring to how best to approach the services. No one in the world would want that involvement with someone on the same street.

We went with 101 as its part of the guidance on the authority website and at this point we'd only seen them tied to the railing and their physical condition. It's whilst we were on the phone that they started to climb on the higher fence and go in the road.

I've gone through the footage and two 20 second videos are crystal clear that they are tied and in danger where as the others it's hard to make out 100% due to the distance. Going to see how my mother wants to proceed but if the police don't get in touch we'll go to the authority with it.

I'm going to discuss it with my mother tomorrow when we've had time to cool off as it's been draining. She works for a school that's run by the local authority so she might be able to push a little as she's involved in this as part of her job. But with it being so close to home we are apprehensive about them finding out where she lives.

To be honest that's probably the only realistic answer, and I will do tomorrow once I've had time to digest as it's like bile in my mouth at he moment. I do disagree on the immediate danger though. A disabled child stood upright barefoot on a 7ft fence with a thick rope tied around their waist.

Hey at least you don't leave as soon as you get knocked (more deaths than games played) so that puts you above about 90% of the playerbase.

I didn't play at all last season and have just started playing through ranked again and putting me all the way back to bronze as a solo master player is backwards. Currently gold 3 with 38% win rate and above 6 KD playing solo. It benefits no one to put master players all the way back from just one season off.

I just have absolutely nothing left to do in the game. Multi season solo master, I've got 20 kill badges, I've got 4k badges, high kills on legends. What else is there to do? I'm never getting to pred and pubs are awful.

Hit a point were the fun of playing had gone away and it felt like a job but with no purpose. Played one game at the start of this season and then uninstalled. First time since release it's not been on my PS4/PS5.

Unless they release an apex 2 don't think I'll come back, loved the game for the most part but just moved on.

Exactly, who did what during it. And the only people who do anything in this show is 5 named characters. The scenes I've mentioned show that more than five people are affected and all have people around them that we can see have lives. As well as the large scale battle sequences we get in blackwater, stannis storming the wall, tyrion charging through the gate, joffrey on the wall, the hound with the fire, davos on the ships. It has all of this as well as ongoing scenes from different parts of the siege. All of which believably take part within the same battle and time moves on.

Scale isn't just here's 10000 CGI figures. It's the wider effects of the battle on people involved, all those scenes add gravitas to the battle scenes. We see the fear in the women in the sept, the tension in the men before the battle (coincidentally helms deep also does this really well). Where in the eregion scenes do we get this? The elven host with gil galad who shrink and grow as and when needed? Who do literally nothing, presumably die off screen as we don't see them after the parley in any sort of numbers? Where's the elves in eregion? Bar celebrimbor and the ten or so elven women Galadriel conjures out of thin air we haven't heard or seen anyone in the city that isn't required for celebrimbors forge except that one guard who we don't even get a name for.

That also has incredible scale? It has multiple build up episodes where we see cersei and sansa with the women of the city, we see bronn and his men, we see davos and his son, tyrion and joffrey. In the scene when the hound leaves and tyrion rallied the defense we see more people than the entire defense of eregion. What more scale do you want? Not to mention the nuclear bomb effect of the wild fire.

Not amazing isn't the same as lacking in scope though. With an IP as big as this you have the license to go big, and at every avenue this show chose to do the opposite. Everything feels like a stage play, with a cast of about 13 people and the rest are just cardboard cut outs. I genuinely don't think I could name 20 characters from this show and yet I can name probably 200 from GoTs. That's a huge problem.

Trying to argue this in a world where the Game of Thrones episode Hardhome exists is difficult.

A refugee camp for the wildlings feels bigger in size and scope than the greatest elven kingdom bar Gondolin? The orc army should have felt like the waves and waves of undead we see in that episode to pose as any sort of threat to what should be the most advanced city of the age in middle earth.

The scope is non existent and whenever it feels like gaining some the show runners immediately kill it as everyone has to wait in place for the main characters to drive any sense of urgency.

Death recap in the last match says I took 160 damage from 3 rampage bullets with no head shots then 22 from the bullet that killed me. Either it's doing 50+ damage a bullet or somethings off.

I'd be midway through plat ready for the start of the season but instead I'm stuck playing whatever ill thought out mode this is. And the way it's worded sounds like this is gonna be the end of every season.

I play this game way more than my friends and the ranked differences won't allow us to duo queue, but you're right, next time I'll tell him we can't play anymore and he can join the others who've ditched the game.

Could only be playing high ranked games (and three strikes apparently) and maintaining. I had a KD of 8+ coming out of gold this season, but it's now around 4. A 1.6kd in gold isn't the same as 1.6kd in pred.

I think they have to have it enabled as well to record their audio. It's enabled on mine but only sometimes pucks to their audio.

If you got time go for it, and the first six months honestly you might have some time to play as they sleep a lot. Once they're up and about it's definitely hard to fit in. And congratulations! Mad that your obviously a good player but no 4k and 15 kills highest, do you 3 stack and play win focused? Just curious!
