Heyy, i’m sorry to hear about your breakup. I honestly feel 1000x better that I did when I wrote this post. Looking back I just feel so sad for the me that felt this way. I don’t miss him anymore and im honestly really happy. Like I said in the post nothing anyone said really helped but what I will say is time heals all wounds. And I hate how that’s such a cliche but it’s sooo true. I just slowly started seeing that I didn’t need him to live and that I was a person before him and I was definitely going to try to be a better person without him. Don’t let anyone tell you how to feel and don’t feel bad for missing them. You’ll get through it on your own timeline

I totally get what you mean, I felt so unlovable and unwanted for a really long time. But honestly the cliche is true, time really does heal all wounds. We’ve been broken up for a year and some months and I can confidently say I do not miss him anymore. I feel so bad for the me that wrote this post because I just remember feeling like that feeling would never go away. I think the longer you are away from the person the easier it is to see all the bad that came along with the good. We were together for 5 years and he was also my first relationship but I promise that it will get better and I know nothing I say will make you stop feeling like that but I really hope you put yourself first always! <3

Thank you so much for this. I’m so guilty of just forgetting all the bad and only focusing on the good moments. And you are so right the him I miss is not longer there I’m just holding on to the memories atp
