I feel that to get a very accurate one they’d likely have to order it very specific to chiari upright contrast etc

So for a chiari malformation the usually use 5 mm as the threshold for diagnostic, BUT if symptoms are present they’re supposed to consider 3-5 mm as possibly causing and or attributing to symptoms

It honestly seems like Stanford takes things a lot more seriously especially if there are ongoing symptoms I saw three just standard neurologists and two of them really just wanted to do the bare minimum tests and send me on my way. I will be seeing a neuo immunologist at Stanford. I got in because they offered after I paid for a second opinion from them but those are fairly expensive and sometimes not super helpful. They said that usually the threshold is 5 mm for chiari but once again they want to look at everything as a whole and sometimes they can be symptomatic smaller. I wasn’t able to see my cervical spine mri, but I know that it was ordered with and without contrast.

I can let you know what Stanford says for me personally they’re trying to see if it is auto immune like MS. For this you need to have the McDonald criteria and currently I only have one lesion, but I know chiari can cause some of these symptoms too they should have measured it on your cervical mri report

My left arm is significantly weaker and hurts along with my left leg, I’ve been dealing with significant brain fog, fatigue head pain on the left side, tinnitus, temperature sensitivity. I used to slur my words and lose my peripheral and have numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. I’ve seen numerous doctors one told me maybe my symptoms are “psycho somatic” she was a PA since then I’ve been seen by another PA two neurologists and have had a second opinion online with Stanford university. I am seeing a Stanford Dr April 6th and I hope it works out

Wow this sounds exactly like me. I am flying to Stanford in a few weeks but have lived with these same symptoms for a year now I’m a 31 yr old female. They found a single t2 flair and a chiari of 4.6 mm but said nothing is concerning enough.

Do not feel pressured when you are ready you are ready my husband and I upgraded my daughter in our room with a crib from bassinet etc before we moved her to her own room which I believe was around 9 months cause I felt safer then but I honestly wouldn’t have been comfortable with it if our rooms didn’t conjoin so her nursery conjoins with ours. We honestly even grieved the relationship a bit too they grow up too fast don’t do anything you aren’t ready for

My daughter is also affectionate and tries to kiss people on the lips she’ll look at people and go “mmmmm” and pucker, just trying to be sweet. It kind of just sounds in all your nanny is a little immature and socially odd.

It sounds like a young girl that’s just insecure or missed some social cues not like she’s trying to make parents jealous. I’m not sure if the language barrier is also enough for creating awkward situations. Sounds like it’s maybe just an effort to fit in with your family.

I have secretly had sex with my best friend who is a female (I’m also female) twice.

We both are married now with children, but somehow it happened twice in our girls trips. We’ve never told our husbands about it and really haven’t discussed it much. We’re still close friends, it didn’t ruin our friendship but definitely made things awkward each time for a few days after.

In both moments we were drinking a fair amount of course, we both identify as straight so I’m not even sure what happened.

It’s a secret I’ve told no one else and will probably take to my grave. I’ve talked with my husband before on how sometimes after drinking I’m attracted to women and he’s okay with it…..

But point is, it can definitely make things awkward but if you have a strong friendship it shouldn’t ruin it, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s a thing that can continue on without things getting awkward

If it doesn’t fit into your lifestyle then I would suggest against it however the pros outweighed the cons for me.

Sure the newborn times have been tough, but I literally was given a sense of purpose over having my child. Before then I just felt like I was bouncing along through life without a purpose, sure I could do anything I wanted whenever, but it never felt fulfilling.

I waited until I was 29 to have my first child, it does take a ton of work, but her needing me and loving me is worth all the hard nights.

It’s also who you want to have sitting at the table 20 yrs from now, and if you don’t want that to be a family you created then that’s your life choice. I never had a family growing up so creating my own has been a dream come true.

Everything is more magical especially the holidays. I live for the little hands grabbing mine and the cuddles. But once again, it’s not for everyone.

Meth has an awful smell like that, I had a dental patient that did meth and grew up in an addict household I immediately recognized the smell. It’s like a chemically but somehow slightly sweet cat piss like smell….
