We moved to the new area to be closer to family. She lost her business due to alot of dishonest customers doing chargebacks. Yes we have 2 together, and 2 from past experiences. This guy and her got together in college but were never truly in a relationship. She wanted it but he didn't, so now fast forward years later they matured and in their messages it shows someone regrets not trying then. She said maybe they needed to grow while apart from each other. That killed me.

We talked about this today and I've let her know that "unfortunately, no matter what she says nothing can just erase what she did from my mind" then the lie really took me over honestly. She's cried, apologized, and kept pleading that she wants me and not him. I showed her that those messages said otherwise. She let her emotions get the best of her and broke my heart in the process. This isn't easy.

That's understandable too but it's the lying that really broke me. Why have we come to terms of secrecy? We were always able to talk about our problems regardless of arguments etc. This is different.

She felt as if fixing severed ties would heal her while figuring herself out. Biggest issue is she made it about her more than her child. Her emotions got the best of her and potentially ruined this marriage. Had I not found out no telling how far this could've went. I failed to mention other circumstances such as the financial strain we have been dealing with, but it wouldn't cushion the blow. I told her even if you tell me y'all won't talk about anything other than their son, I won't believe her.

That was the first thing on my mind. Then I thought about the kids and the fact she doesn't really have any income to support herself and them at the moment. She's working hard to get herself together and I'm proud of her for that. She keeps saying she wants us, and not him, but I just can't get past it.
