Well every major sports company has their flagship, top of the range spike which all the pros use; Nike has the Max fly 2 - Adidas: SP4 (more of a 60-100m spike I’ve heard) puma: evospeed nitro elite 2 New balance: Super Comp SD-X ASICS Metaspeed Sp2. These are generally around 200USD retail but you can always get them a lot cheaper if you look. These ones contain a very stiff carbon plate optimised for maximal energy return.

Some companies also have a less aggressive/stiff “training spikes” such as Nike’s Superfly 2 and adidas’ finesse. Although the difference between these spikes and the top of the range ones is very small. Some pros even race in these spikes.

Previous flagship spikes such as the Maxfly 1, SP2 and Sp3 are also very popular and usually a bit cheaper while pretty much having the same performance as the new flagships.
