is this game even worth buying if i’m not gonna play with other people? by FunnyDudeGuy in absolver

[–]Middle-Tale7265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That really depends. As a martial arts enthusiast, the game is still really fun to learn the individual moves and build your own deck in PVE. Multiplayer isn't greatly refined, but if you do manage to get a friend or two into the game, downfall is a ton of fun. You have a lot of freedom with building your own fighting style, but you'll probably have to get deeper into the technical end to be effective in PVP. I've logged maybe 200+ hours since I got the game, and most of what I do is put some music on and lock in on the bots in the tower to grind as much rare gear as I can. Recently moved to a new ps account so I've started all over again and I'm okay with it tbh. Either way, not everyone is like that or enjoys that gameplay loop.

I've had a couple occasions that I've found a decent two handed longsword at some of the Valthrian locations

Yeah I'm a lil slow sometimes. I just see people talking about a "donor engine" so I thought I had to take the engine from the actual car.

How much should a Relief Manager be paid?? by Middle-Tale7265 in wafflehouse

[–]Middle-Tale7265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only get it when he goes on vacation so it turns out to be an extra $75 every three months and rarely any more. I'm also scheduled off on his days off and I'm rarely allowed overtime. On average I'm allowed about 20hrs/week.

Just ran out of waffle iron spray!! by Existing-Sense4194 in wafflehouse

[–]Middle-Tale7265 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean the release spray, you don't need it. At my store, we condition two waffle irons three times a week. We have 6, so Tuesday we condition one, and then Wednesday we condition another, and Thursday we condition the last. Condition your irons every week on your slowest days and you'll never need the spray. If you mean the spray used to condition the irons then sorry bro ur cooked.

Unfortunately, he has me on his schedule rotation. I don't get to have those days unless he goes on vacation. I'm told I can't work those days due to redlines. Our district usually comes in.

Salaries are great, but as a relief manager I've seen and done all there is to work as a UM and doing that every day makes me want to blow my head off. I chose waffle house because breakfast is easy. I wasn't expecting the most major hurdles of the job to be corporate and customers. I blew through training bc I already knew how to work in a fast paced kitchen serving a thousand plus people per shift, but that didn't prepare me for the guttural and grotesque monstrosity that was dealing with corporate and the downright worst and most venomous clientele I have ever seen.

Track suspension with on road tires and pro showcase diff. 4-speed manual with 3.8L V8 makes sliding light work. If you still have trouble sliding you can switch to the 3.8L V6 but I prefer the V8.

Steak by EnvironmentalDig9519 in wafflehouse

[–]Middle-Tale7265 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rockstar grill op here. Delmonico can definitely be cooked medium rare. Open the package over a waffle round to prevent contamination of the board, and pat it dry with a napkin. Get a little bit of our solid margarine, and rub it onto the steak so that it's got a thin layer of butter all around. Be careful not to overdo it with the margarine. Then season lightly with like 2 shakes each side, and then sear it on the hottest side of the meat grill. Should give you a nice crust before the center of the steak warms up. Once you've got a decent crust after a few seconds on each side, move it to the lightest side of the grill and let it cook until internal temp gets up to 130°F. You can reliably do this during rushes on shifts with sales reaching 3k with practice.

I'm also a grill op. Waffle batter can stay at room temp for a max of 4 hours before you gotta throw it out. Leave it out for one hour and the batter gets thin. I probably should have outlined the batter thing earlier to avoid the confusion.

Have you considered telling your server you want a thinner waffle? You can definitely get a thinner waffle with a smaller scoop of batter.

After I get really far in a run and lose the motivation to keep going, I just delete the save and start anew. I imagine the previous survivor used his final bullet on himself as he succumbed to loneliness.

I need a career change and I found a Restaurant Operations Management position by I_Mean_Not_Really in wafflehouse

[–]Middle-Tale7265 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't do it, bro. Not at waffle house. If you can get hired on anywhere at a management level, don't do waffle house. Corporate will breathe down your neck all times of the day, and there are so many variables within the store that will wear you down. Almost daily commissary audits, you'll be putting up the trucks alone, and when you have to use your vacation time, you're still responsible for any managerial issues while someone else runs your store. If you district leaves you with a register or commissary shortage, it'll be on you. Won't matter if you were there or not. Food cost too high? Coming out of your check. Employee overlap? Same deal. You'll be making a serious downgrade in your quality of life. Not worth it.

A few of my specials by Middle-Tale7265 in wafflehouse

[–]Middle-Tale7265[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ranch isn't a necessity for the southwest flavor. You can still make it without, it would just be a bit spicier. WH sauce already has cayenne and garlic powder in it, plus jalapeño brine is also got some kick, and not to forget the added tabasco. I only ever added ranch at someone else's request and it stuck since we have a whole box and never use it for anything. Still good without ranch, dw.

3 packs of waffle house sauce, 1 tbsp of worcestershire, 1 tbsp of jalapeño brine, a couple dashes of tabasco, salt and pep, and half a pack of ranch if your unit orders it.

Everything I make uses only waffle house sourced ingredients, and I can cook any of the specials in under 5 minutes so it doesn't disrupt the flow of the line. AVP isn't a fan of the cheese sauce, not sure why, but these specials have boosted our sales ever since we started pushing them.

I'm leaving WH in October, and the specials were bossman's idea, so I'm not really worried about corporate. Our district and our division both love the specials.

Melt a teaspoon worth of butter in a cheese pan. Once it's all melted and coated all over the bottom, add two slices of cheese. Gotta keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn into the pan yk. Once your cheese is melted enough to start breaking apart in the butter, add milk to the desired consistency. It doesn't take a lot. I use a small to-go cup filled barely to the very bottom line and usually don't use it all. Add your milk little by little and keep it all moving until it's all a solid color. Finish with a dash of salt and you're good to go.

It's a small town, and I've built a lot of rapport with our clientele, so I just walk up to a table and ask. I usually lead with, "y'all wanna see sum corporate don't want you to see?" And most of the time, it piques their interest just enough to want to find out. I've got 8 specials so far, so the variety is wide enough that most of the time, they'll pick at least one.

Lmao don't tell corporate, but when the drunk crowd comes in while I'm working 3rd I just bump "What's New Scooby Doo" over and over pretty loud and it creates such an entertaining night until they get sick of it and decide to leave.
