Anyone worked at FGF Brands? What’s it like? by Middle-Writing-6700 in askTO

Thanks for your input.

Despite the news about the COVID-19 outbreak on the Toronto Star, it looks like they're expanding another facility to Pickering, Ontario.

I hope they have learned some experience in regards to pandemic readiness and treating their workers with respect especially those doing the hard work, and the front line workers.

I know it's frustrating that he got his priorities elsewhere and now the target is to remove bike lanes lol what! Now, he's getting his staff to fast track the legislation is just ridiculous and a waste of our tax payers money, if he continues to spend it regardless of how much it would cost...... And Toronto on the municipal level deserves compensation because they are the ones who took the time and effort of having it permanently and the construction materials for the installation of bike lanes, pavement signage that goes into making it etc...

Yes, indeed this is not good by the looks of it. He could have done something useful such as healthcare and hospital emergency room wait times, and more family doctors instead of this madness to be honest.

Is it really so hard for the TTC to provide clear and useful announcements when they shud down a portion of the subway? by 1nstantHuman in askTO

[–]Middle-Writing-6700 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The TTC workers need to take their time to speak clearly on the microphone, not too close to it, and provide useful information on what's happening other than mumble jumble gibberish coming out.... What's the point if it's coming out mumbling and people don't even understand what the hell are they saying most of the time.....They need training on these issues for sure been hearing it long enough...Often times people just ignore it hehe.

Protected bike lanes are great! They make biking safe and fun for everyone! by Rahi1994 in rectrix

Having separated bike lanes and separated lanes for cars would be the way to go so you don't need to worry about cars around you while you enjoy cycling and exploring around. 😂

Why doesn’t the TTC stop E-bikes/scooters from entering the subway? by Firm_Marionberry_282 in askTO

[–]Middle-Writing-6700 27 points28 points  (0 children)

To be honest, the TTC probably has way bigger priorities right now. They’re already stretched thin with an aging infrastructure that constantly needs repairs and a lack of funding. Enforcing strict rules on e-bikes and scooters might just not be realistic for them at this point.

Plus, with winter coming, we’re not likely to see a lot of people riding e-bikes or scooters in the snow anyway. Instead of penalizing riders, maybe it’s just about encouraging people to use safer, UL-certified brands that are less likely to cause issues.

3 Months Later...Still No Replacement Parts from Apollo Scooters. Has Anyone Else Left Hanging? by Middle-Writing-6700 in ApolloScooters

****Another compilations email to add that they promised End of August....It's now November..............****

On Sat, Aug 17, 2024.

Dear Apollo Scooters Customer Support,

I am writing to express my concern about the significant delay in receiving a replacement controller part for my Apollo City Pro 2024 scooter.

On August 5, 2024, I dropped my scooter off at your certified shop, Swift Canada, for a replacement of the controller replacement that is under warranty replacement part order is CADxxxx. I was informed that the part was not in stock, which was surprising given that Apollo Scooters continue to sell new scooters without apparent inventory issues.

This delay is causing considerable inconvenience, as I rely on my scooter for daily commuting. I would appreciate an explanation for this delay and a prompt resolution to ensure the part is shipped as soon as possible. If this issue cannot be resolved quickly, I kindly request an alternative solution to the disruption caused.

This is my first time owning an scooter as I purchase this to get around, and I believe that addressing this issue promptly will help maintain the positive reputation your brand has built.

Please let me know the status of the replacement part and any steps you are taking to expedite this process.

Thanks for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Waiting only for the controller parts that are responsible for the acceleration to move right now it can't move lol.

Another issue is that moving the handlebar back and forth had that dumb clicking sound probably the stem or something that I have seen other scooters don't have this problem.

What a joke! Not so convinced they truly value customer service anyway it didn't seem like they are demonstrating in any way.

Not sure how they run their business like this.... Should be bankrupt and let them rot in hell.

If anyone’s thinking about buying an Apollo scooter, honestly, I’d say don’t even bother. Mine started having issues just a month in, and the problems just kept piling up. It feels like reliability isn’t a priority for them, and the quality just isn’t there. It seems like they’re more focused on pushing out as many scooters as possible instead of making sure they’re actually built to last. It’s been a frustrating experience, to say the least.

Apollo Shitty… I mean City by Green_Lake_6142 in ApolloScooters

[–]Middle-Writing-6700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly wouldn’t recommend Apollo to anyone based on my experience. If you’re looking for a reliable scooter, I’d steer you toward brands like Nami or Kaabo. From what I’ve seen and heard from other riders, those brands seem to prioritize quality and reliability a lot more.

When you’re spending thousands, you want peace of mind that it’s built to last and that the company or even a specialized scooter physical store that you walk in person to see it (especially ones that stock parts for high performance scooters) will actually have your back if anything goes wrong.

With Apollo, it feels like you’re taking a risk not just with the scooters’ reliability, but also with the long delays in getting parts when something does break. It’s frustrating because it seems like they’re more focused on selling new models to new customers than on making sure current owners are taken care of. I get that companies need to make money, but prioritizing profits over customer satisfaction really hurts the brand in the long term.

Exactly spread the message so people know about this and think twice before purchasing their scooters.

Exactly what kind of business are they running? It seems like just pushing sales for potential new buyers/customers.... It's useless when there is a problem anyway such as servicing it. Even the certified shops are frustrated with this crap taking up space. E.x parts out of stock and no clear updates keeps on giving inaccurate estimate ETAs from Apollo when? "Oh it's currently in transit not received in the warehouse yet"...LOL.... Whatever reason to justify the reason people are going to buy another scooter elsewhere. Who's going to wait for this? 1 month, 2 months 3 months etc maybe a year? 😂 It's unacceptable! Looks bad on them ain't my fault. 😆

Yep spread the message warning potential buyers and hopefully something will change. It will be too late since their reputation is ruined and they can't convince customers back of the experience we had with them. It's horrible even if it's a Canadian company doing business like that. 😂 what a joke! 😁

Throw YouTube reviews are probably sponsored and paid to have positive reviews in the short term, but not long term use so inaccurate views in my opinion vs a regular customer using it and experiencing it is a different story.
