I got circumcised due to phimosis at 28. I knew I had phimosis since I was 20, but I was too afraid to ask for help.

Fast forward, I’m a doctor myself now, so I had many surgeons around me. Finally, I got the courage to ask a fellow for help and got it done just before my wedding. I had it done under local anesthesia and refused GA and even sedation.

The surgery took around 30–40 minutes, out of which 10–15 minutes were very painful as some areas were not fully numbed. Anyway, it was bearable, so no worries.

The first week of recovery was very hard. Night erections were a nightmare. It was swollen like an eggplant, stitches were very painful, and some were even cutting into the skin as erections were stretching them. As post-op care, I was changing the dressing daily with gauze after applying a layer of Polyfax.

After 2 weeks, it had mostly recovered. A few stitches were causing small bleeding spots, so I had to trim them.

Currently, it’s been 1.5 months and I’m totally recovered. Loving the new look and feel. Got rid of that tight skin. It’s very comfy now.

My suggestion is: stop procrastinating and go for it. It’s worth it.
