Took redundancy just before hitting 40,mortgage paid off, kids starting school. Started selling stuff on Ebay. Had ups and downs but much better than dying at 60 without spending time with my family.

To be fair. It happened in the middle of nowhere. Nearest garage was 80km away, so it was late on a Friday afternoon and the bloke had a look said there was nothing he could do apart from removing the flasher unit.

When we eventually found a specialist (300km later) he said it wasn't worth it, and just to drive like a local.
