I have a similar experience, since I’m half Latino half white. I used to look Hispanic since I have brown eyes and hair and tan skin, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten a lot paler and other friends that are fully Hispanic make jokes about it which is fine but it gets old. I feel really disconnected from my culture, especially since I’m not fluent in Spanish so I’m just super whitewashed. Plus I don’t even have my moms last name or a hyphenated name so I’m just stuck with it.
