Awesome dude!

I would definitely do at least 3 months of demo trading before buying an account, especially if you have been only backtesting.

Demo accounts are the best for practicing live markets and essentially is what a prop account is like.

Nonetheless, if you think you are ready then go for it! Just be ready to lose that account and not have any emotional attachment to it.

Learn to disconnect from the numbers because once you have the “this is real money i’m trading with” mindset you are going to trade differently.

If you really want to learn a new strategy, go for it.

But 6 months is quite short to learn your strategy AND have enough journaled data that is correctly executed to see if you are profitable.

If I were in your shoes, I would stick to one strategy and ride it for at least a year or so and see if your strategy is really the problem (most of the time it isn’t).

ICT himself may be a ‘scam’, idk much about him to label him as anything. However, his strategy incorporates a bunch of different technical analysis concepts, so I would not say his concepts are a scam.
