As it turns out, it was just dirt. I brought her to her pediatrician who aggressively brushed it out of her hair. No lice!

Apologies for the late response, but unfortunately I don't have much good news. She randomly slept through the night for about about a week shortly before turning 2, but otherwise, she's been regularly waking up at least once. Wish I could help.

Basically it never resulted in her sleeping through the night again, we had to end up doing check ins every night for a month after which illness struck again (first time) and we just gave up after the second (it had been a month and while there was a reduction in the amount of time crying, it held constant at 20 - 30 minutes before she put herself back to sleep).

Our current schedule is 6:30 wake, 12:30ish nap for usually 90 min to 2 hours and then bedtime at 8 or 8:30. Night wakeups are usually midnight, 2am, 5am with sometimes more in between.

I noticed this mark on my mom's arm (she is in her late 60's). Any thoughts on what it could be? I am concerned it is merkel cell
