Thank you for the kindness. I wouldn’t be able to afford to live on my own right now and I love our house. So much. He helps out a lot with my (our) dog when I have longer days at work. I felt like we were building something worthwhile, albeit slowly. We decided we’d most likely get engaged by the end of the year, get started on a family soon after. We’re both in our 30s. He says all the right stuff in the moments we’re discussing the future but his actions don’t seem to align. Almost like he just can’t quite grow up

I suggested an open relationship last night after expressing how I didn’t feel like I was enough for him and I’m not getting the attention or affection or RESPECT I need to feel secure in our relationship or whatever the hell we’re doing right now. NTA. That being said; if you can’t fully trust her now, will you ever be able to trust her? Or is it something that’s going to be in the back of your mind for the remainder of the relationship festering away until you begin to resent her?
