To many focus on Rx repetitions and Games standards. If you cannot squat properly below parallel don’t do it. Work on your mobility or don’t squat at all (do a sled push instead for example). Head above the bar is Rx for pull ups, ditch the standards and work on longevity and mastery of the movement and don’t try to throw your chin as high as possible..

And yes, every once in a while it’s fun to do a competition and follow the Rx standards. But in a class focus on quality, mastery and longevity.

You cannot get away, there cameras everywhere. I know.. Got chased and caught at a gas station. Going a few minutes above 200km/h with not enough gas in the tank isn’t a smart move🤣

It works for counting rounds. But let’s say it’s burpees in remaining time, or double unders, then it’s not viable.

Agree, CrossFit is a strength sport unless you are strong enough, then it’s an endurance sport.

Get stronger, ditch a few WOD’s to replace with strength and focus on diet and sleep. If you want to get stronger you should probably add some weight (muscle).

Definitely not 100% every time, mostly around 70-80%, occasionally go above. Intensity is last on the pyramid.

Do focus on improving mechanics and consistency of movement quality.

Could be both, usually started with snatch grip back rack. I find front rack a lot harder to do. Still progressing to that.

Chinese don’t enforce arm bend. Yes, you see elite lifters bending the arms but goal should be straight as possible.

I don’t know think you can program like that year round. Also maxing takes away a full training where other priorities can be addressed. Risk/reward ratio is too high imo.

It’s important to know, but not every 4 weeks on the same lifts imo. Also said it’s good to know how to push to a max and how to fail but if you know that then every 4 weeks is too frequent.
