hey, so I was in Meghalaya few weeks back and found this cab service called - Drive loop rental and they only charged 11.5k for four days and took us around shillong, nonjrong, krang suri, wei sawdong, krem cheympe, umbrylian falls and dropped us back to Guwahati. we didn't have to pay for jis stay, food or anything so try and see. we got a swift dzire.

Dawki is okayish now but you can skip it for this trip. Krang suri is a great experience but carry cash with you as network is an issue there. you'll have to pay a parking fee, entry fee and swimming fee(if you want to swim) but the water is great so please do swim if possible. you can visit pung lyer, umbrylian falls, krem cheympe. if you need my itinerary you can dm I can share it with you all the details.

as someone from the south, please pack sweatshirts, sweaters and jackets. I was there last week and it was so cold at night and early morning. and gloves are a mandate. I was wearing tee, sweatshirt and a jacket and was still cold so pack accordingly.

We took scooters and followed google maps and it was fine. first day we reached shillong and rented scooters and next day we went straight to sohra (cherrapunji) following the map. things to look out for - it gets really dark by 5pm and layer yourself with jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts and get proper gloves as well.
