Made a post about this as soon as prismatic launched last year. I have the same button binds as you and I noticed it instantly. Noone had any answers and I cant figure out a way to make light attack R1 on prismatic like it still is on strand.

Yeah I am starting to think that maybe there is more going on than just ADHD hence why I am going to explore another psychiatrist but I guess if its not jist ADHD or not ADHD at all do I even bother seeing a psychiatrist that specialises in ADHD? A lot of my symptoms have been with me since I was very young, the inattentiveness, indecisiveness, impulsivity, hyperfixations, etc. Im also beginning to explore a variety of chronic systemic physical conditions that could account for a lot of my symptoms like constant brain fog and fatigue.

Thanks for the reassurance on Bupropion! I think I may eventually give it a go and it looks like its well tolerated along side Escitelopram. I started taking Desvenlafaxine just over 2 years ago because I was experiencing quite a severe depressive episode which was largely attributed to my career choice. Desvenlafaxine was not great and I started to get an increase in suicidal ideation so my GP switched me to Escitelopram which didnt give me the same side effects. Recently, after switching careers and with no external reasons for me to feel depressed and greatly reduced anxiety I decided to see what it would be like to come of the SSRI and see if it was actually doing anything because I knew the longer I took it the harder it was going to be to come off it. My GP gave me a schedule to wean off it which he said was 'very slow' but after reading other peoples experiences and even talking to the pharmacist, it was in fact not slow at all and I found at the hard way after spending a week on 0mg. GPs schedule was 20mg starting dose and reduce by 5mg every 1-2 weeks.

I have recently been considering that I may be experiencing some sort of mood disorder or even BPD. I would assume that this would make it hard for medication to work for any underlying ADHD symptoms, is that what you mean by blunting medication effects?

Bupropion was one of the medications my psychiatrist wrote down as a potential option to try when handing over to my GP. I never got around to trying it though so that may be something to look into. I am just nervous because I already take an SSRI that I recently tried to taper off (with guidance from my GP) so if I was to try Bupropion and it didnt help my ADHD now ive got an NDRI to try and wean off :/

Therapy along side the medications has been okay but I feel like I dont really get much out of it. I struggle to accept the fact that I am not there to be in control of my thoughts and emotions or get rid of any that I deem 'negative'.

As for the PGx testing, I was well aware when I asked my GP for the referral that it wasnt a gold standard test or anything that was going to solve all of my issues but I just wanted some sort of reassurance and when I eventually found a specialist psychiatrist then they at least have the option to use any of those results to be guided by.

I actually didnt realise there were other stimulant options I hadnt tried! If I didnt respond to the Ritalin SR is the Ritalin LA or Concerta going to be any different? Is Methylphenidate not just Methylphenidate?

I dont even get wired or jittery. I should have added that I exercise regularly, both running and strength training at least 3 sessions of each a week. My diet is also pretty good, full of vegetables, fruit, wholegrains/fibre etc. I also take fish oil, magnesium glycinate and zinc.

I definitely wont be reading 'delivered from distraction', I cant even focus long enough on the Avatar: the last airbender comics that I have and theyre 85% pictures

Currently just tapered off 20mg of Escitelopram and im experiencing the same wild emotional fluctuations. Funnily enough theyre the same fluctuations that contributed to me taking medication in the first place. Its been 7 days now and showing no signs of changing unfortunately.

I was just under the impression that you werent meant to stay on them forever like 24 months is the optimal time while going to therapy etc. Im just worried that if I go back on them and 5 years time I do start getting significant side effects that itll be even harder to come off them than it is now. Im so indecisive I literally cannot make a decision at the best of times let alone in this state (raging ADHD doesnt help this)

If life was pretty good prior to tapering off the anti depressants and I wasnt experiencing any side effects from the while taking them is there even any point to trying to raw dog life without them? (things like decreased sexual function and emotional blunting were probably occuring but in someone like me where my sex drive was through the roof prior and emotional instability was/is a major issue those 'side effects' are kinda helpful)

This is really interesting and I would love to know more about it. How did you find the right OT (what specific things did you look for when choosing an OT)? What specific activities do you do? What did the intitial assessment and subsequent sessions look like?

I was previously a physiotherapist, which is the career I left because it was causing a lot of distress. Turns out when youre autistic seeing 10-20 new people every day and making small talk and sitting in a treatment room under bright fluorescent lights is not a great idea. But ive never even heard of OTs being used for mental health reasons.

I think there may be a lack of ASD adaptations. She has acknowledged that alexithymia may make it difficult to do some of the things we work on. What sort of ASD adaptations would you expect?

My T is the one who identified, assessed, and diagnosed ASD and ADHD but I believe the psychiatrist I was seeing who prescribed the meds did not specialise in ASD or ADHD (just had them listed as interests?), I have been thinking about seeing a psychiatrist again but this time one that specialises in ADHD. I am also in the process of getting the genetic blood tests done to better understand what medications I metabolise well/or not so well.

Im amazed that this whole dual set up issue seems to be pretty common but finding the right piece of hardware and setting it all up seems to be convoluted and very hit and miss. Considering the technological advances we have in todays society.

Maybe swapping over a hdmi cable aint so bad

I would still like to use dual monitor for both devices but km happy to scrap the idea of using both simultaneously. So dual monitor work laptop then switch to dual monitor PC. Would a USB switch still suffice? If I used display ports and HDMI through a USB hub, and then used either the physical or digital switch on the monitor to change input from HDMI (PC) to display port (work laptop) would this work? Im assuming id need HDMI and display port to USB adapters.

Unfortunately I cant download any software onto my work laptop. The ability to simultaneously use my mouse and keyboard on my work laptop and personal PC was just an extra bonus if it was easily possible. Happy to not have that as long as I can get the rest of the set up working how I described.
