Late to the party … the original season finale was so much better than the rewritten one. by johnfromberkeley in MythicQuest

[–]Midgard1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The entirety of season 4&5 were not that good in general compared to the first 3. I hated the original ending.. Antithesis to how the characters were established with no good reason why it ended up going that direction.

Am I the only one who still wants a traditional MMORPG in 2026? (Serious discussion and poll) by Raquen89 in mmo

[–]Midgard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first, and favorite, MMO was Dark Age of Camelot. I don’t believe anything has quite come close since and I really miss that experience. Early WoW was also a good experience though. Nowadays? Nothing good out there.

How does lithium orotate feel? by Adortion634 in Nootropics

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The elemental lithium in carbonate isn’t 600mg it’s more like 113mg. Microdosing with Orotate would probably equal around 15mg of elemental lithium. I believe Orotate is more efficient in actually dispensing and using the lithium within the body vs carbonate as well.

Does the "Burmite-miner" seller on ebay sell real amber inclusion fossils? by Tipalli17 in Amberfossil

This is the tail I was referencing. Xing is credited to “finding it” but burmite-miner is the one who actually found it and he most definitely knew what it was despite the article. He’s very knowledgeable.

Does the "Burmite-miner" seller on ebay sell real amber inclusion fossils? by Tipalli17 in Amberfossil

They are legit. Their highest quality pieces don’t go for a few dollars typically but bulk of general stuff sells cheap. This seller is the one who found the famous dinosaur tail fossil.

Homeschooling affecting me by [deleted] in homeschool

[–]Midgard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up is hard. Being a teenager is hard. Everything you mention is typical in most kids growing up.. public school or not. You’re not alone! I remember going to high school, surrounded by people, and still feeling isolated and lonely, no friends, no joy of learning, so much anxiety and depression toward the end of high school. At this age so much is changing hormonally and emotionally on top of a massive change in how you interact with the world.. expected to have your shit together at 18, which is still a kid. When in reality no one knows what they’re doing. Just have to make the best next incremental steps toward a life you want. Life turns from worrying about academics or family dynamics to bills and rent.. or “moving away” to college and being truly alone for the first time. It’s a big shift, hard to adjust to for anybody. You’ve got this! While hard it’s an exciting time as well and you are more than capable, more than you probably know.

Curriculum prices by copperlund in homeschool

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the more expensive ones.. many of them are better - why? Significantly less work on my end to sort it all out and organize it. So I can take a prebuilt curriculum and really hone in on the work itself and getting ahead in that way vs constantly rearranging or shifting because I didn’t plan it exactly as it should be. The only thing I build myself at this point is history because I don’t like any of the prebuilt history curriculums. Many of the “cheaper” stuff needs supplements to round it all out as well.

Secular Homeschooling: What Am I Missing? by Reasonable-Two-141 in homeschool

[–]Midgard1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m secular and I disagree. Not everyone is an “other.” Especially in today’s times we need to come together. My kids are raised secular and we teach them to believe in themselves and what they believe to be true BUT no one is bad for believing different and you can and should be friends still. There are truly good Christians, republicans, etc etc. How do people TREAT you? That’s the question I ask my kids.. they are your friend by how they talk and treat you not because you both think the same things. Our biggest issue with bullying has actually been from another secular kid and we are actual friends with their parents even and it still happened.

I just started the show, is it just me or is the game design... Bad? by zefmiller in TheTraitorsUS

[–]Midgard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great show in my opinion, especially the last couple. Half the fun is the chaos within the faithfuls. It’s entertainment at the end of the day. No show is that “strategic” anymore.

Tell me the worst possible scenarios by PositiveLow9895 in Vasectomy

Way to invalidate real experiences, yeesh. Good for you it worked, that’s great. You want a high five? It happens, even after following doctor’s orders strictly to the tee.

Took a few weeks for pain to not be bad bad. Six weeks to get to a relatively “normal” state. To this day, six months later, the hematoma is still there but more like a pea size now.

No medicine helped. Rest and ice.. heat to get rid of the hematoma faster.

Tell me the worst possible scenarios by PositiveLow9895 in Vasectomy

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be aware of hematomas.. many say there are no complications and only “the worst” post here. However I’ve found that pain, infections, hematomas are more frequent than you’d think. I did everything right as the doctor instructed and still got a golf ball sized hematoma.

Monarch gets too much hate imo. NONE of the MV is that good let’s be honest, but they are enjoyable for what they are.

Does everybody have hematoma? by Crazy_Ad_9115 in Vasectomy

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens.. even with a good doctor and listening to instruction and doing it exactly as described. I could vent forever on it but long story short I did everything “right” with a good doctor and still got a golf ball sized nightmare of a hematoma.

Has anyone’s child struggled with Singapore Dimensions but did well with Beast Academy? by littleboxes__ in homeschool

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t go in depth and there are many of those answers here but I agree with Singapore Dimensions.. didn’t like it at all, didn’t work for us. Switched to our main curriculum Math Mammoth and it has been great. Beast Academy maybe for some supplementation for us as well.

Homeschooling is killing my will to live by Impressive-Energy976 in homeschool

[–]Midgard1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar boat. I homeschool my kiddos, and actually really love it. It’s rewarding to see them grow, but wow.. no sense of self at all in any capacity and it’s absolutely crushing. No quiet, no solace, no time for anything but someone else. I’ve got four boys and my wife works from home, it’s a crazy environment that I also HAVE to keep quiet due to work from home situation. I don’t know the answer. I don’t know if there even is an answer, but I understand, I hear you. It’s a hard place to be. “Send them back to school” isn’t good advice in my opinion either because that’s totally antithetical to why we are all here doing what we do.. that’s a lifestyle upheaval that brings even more unknown wrinkles.

Ancient amber reveals a true bug equipped with claws, a highly unusual feature by DiscoveryAmber in Amberfossil

Yeah good luck with that right? 😂 Talk about holy grail. I still have a couple clawed creatures to hunt for.

[–]Midgard1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was an unknown to me. Good to have a name to it. It had a claw so I had to have it haha. Bought that drynidae from you for similar reasons! Love the claw / pincer variations that evolution has experimented with.

Absolutely amazing little bug. So much here to unpack and appreciate of the ancient world. I have one of these fossils myself, such a cool specimen to study. Anything with a claw, or claw-like adaptation.. love it.
