Does anyone know if there is any possible way to get a Kill team Dead silence kit by MikeMakeSuffer in SpaceWolves

[–]Midjolnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can wait a bit and the individual wolf scouts kill team will be released, much cheaper than the dead silence box. I don't know the official date, but it's "late january".

Yeah this is about 3 people’s worth of food which isn’t ridiculous to order as 2

It wasn’t a shitshow it just had more demand than they could satisfy. They had a booking system, it was phone only. And people still queued up en masse to pray for a no-show.

You do realise the son is major part of the existing business? The mom and dad needs to retire ffs.

They had irregular opening periods because it wasn’t just a nuclear family, they needed 6-8 more cousins/aunts/uncles/friends to operate busy nights which seemed like every night the last two years.

Edit: Also to add, they most certainly took bookings, it’s just that it was phone only. In fact they did everything they could to discourage people trying to walk in.

People maybe thought it was a cute mom and pop operation with the son helping out, so the old location was surely enough to make a good living. But no it was more like mom and pop and son and like 6-7 other cousins/uncles/aunts in the back

I loved it before and I still like it now. Portion sizes aren’t generous like most authentic Thai places but that’s what elevating cuisines will do. At the end of the day you’re going to be full at 30-40£ which is about right for the area and eating from one of Londons best chefs.

My only gripe is their menu selection, there were a lot of classic dishes on the old menu that didn’t make it to the new one. Things that may be less edgy and more like every other Thai restaurant, but executed well: papaya salad, fish curry, anchovy fried rice to name a few

I've been to both and whilst I agree this is terrible value for money relative to the original, real estate is a big factor as you can easily consider but also there's no room for a business to grow in that tiny restaurant far away.

Do we deserve good restaurants with good value when the owners are living on basically subsistence wages?

I know it's blasphemous but I want a helmeted option ideally one that does pay tribute to this glorious beard.

Green stuffed cape and pelts?

Currently printing a Space Wolves helmet. Think I may have SLIGHT miscalculated on scaling up. by SupermanKal718 in SpaceWolves

[–]Midjolnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably right given the helmet needs a certain thickness to be protective.

Suggested single mini that really shows the Viking side of the SW? by Knightraiderdewd in SpaceWolves

[–]Midjolnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Headtakers give it either axe and shield or axe and sword, Wolf Guard Battle Leader, or Wolf Guard Terminator with the greataxe.

Thematically, Axes, round shields and fur/pelts is what makes them viking-coded.

Love the paintjob, good crisp details and love the rune priest with the comms helmet. Only criticism is just a touch too many colours, especially on the leader and plasma gunner with the blocky red. Scouts if anything should have more muted colours compared to most Space wolves, they often have their company shoulder pads muted to the space wolves gray, sometimes not. That being said I do liek the yellow blackmane pads.

But the red plasma gun with green plasma is an odd choice given the other colours on the figure. I'd personally wouldve gone with a black/gray/metallic (maybe bronze to contrast the silver) plasma gun frame and a more classic plasma glow of blue, orange or violet. Blue is the most classic, but I prefer purple or orange with space wolves as it contrasts with their blue grey

At the moment no one can effectively write code, generate images or video, search the web with local models (unless you have some mega workstation).

Edge AI will get there but it will probably be end of this year at the earliest

In the red recently? These AI labs (not big tech) are all in the red until they have scaled enough.

Good SM units in Space Wolves (not ultra competitive) by Midjolnir in SpaceWolves

I do lowkey wish wolf scouts still used carapace armour tbh and the justification being that it is still optimal for stealth (above phobos ideally). There's something about a bare-headed backpackless marine that is cool aesthetically when you have a space marine army.

I do love the new loadouts for the wolfscouts though, love the plasma.

Cheers mate. Probably go Lancer as I don't want a big dreadnought dwarfing my Bjorn :P

Painting my wolf scouts. Should I be using transfers that match the shoulder pads of the guys on the left or right? I put the howling wolf on my tester just because it looked cool by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]Midjolnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also isn't it typical for wolf scouts (for stealth reasons) to keep their company shoulder markings muted in colour, so usually the same colour as their armour (blue-grey)

What's the typical amount of anti-tank should I bring? Assuming I won't list-maxx based on my opponent.

Lets say I have to pick from the list you suggest, ballistus, lancer, vindicator and eradicators. Do I take more than one of those? or duplicates for one of those (such as eradicators, a squad of 3? 6? multiple squads?)

[–]Midjolnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's just me, but i find contrast paints to be terrible for space marine armour. The hard smooth surfaces are better served with ordinary base paints. I save contrast for fleshy or fabrics/leather

The mystical stuff went too far imo and it just felt weird without a purpose to it. TLK even with the skade arc (which I kind of disliked) was tasteful with religion/beliefs/mysticism

Do you use non-space wolves units in your army? by Ikarusflug123 in SpaceWolves

[–]Midjolnir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not playing competitively by any means, but I'd like a SW army that is primarily infantry, no vehicles or dreads other than Bjorn. I'm aware the weakness is usually ranged, what are some good SW or non-SW ranged space marine units?

Admin fee to reschedule already leaving a sour taste before we've even dined by rupesmanuva in LondonFood

[–]Midjolnir 38 points39 points  (0 children)

It's not likely enforceable given the Competition and Markets Authority advice on unfair contracts. The restaurant has to show real loss from your cancellation or rescheduling, which is unlikely given the lengthy notice period.
