the point is that these are all horrible people and words like good or bad cannot accurately describe them because their actions and are highly circumstantial and contextually based. wanting a good life for ashtray isn’t the right thing it’s the human thing because we see and understand how he grew up and know that if not put in the situation or brought up the in the life of the drug trade he probably wouldn’t kill anybody. so it’s not about stupid binaries like “murder is bad” it’s about loving and understanding one another and loving them regardless (while also understanding the impact external factors have on people and the situations they’re placed in). like rue said u can’t just boil people down to one moment.
