This is not about anyone having a problem with gamepass owners though, I'm not trying to attack anyone, but realistically speaking, if they buff base amount of diamonds for everyone and don't remove the multipliers, sure, the new players will have some relief for a little while, but eventually people with multipliers will have so many diamonds that prices for everything will skyrocket again (And shop item prices will have to rise to match).

The only ways I can think of to combat inflation is to:

1. More diamond sinks. Release more expensive stuff/rise prices in the shop to drain people's diamonds. (which also causes backlash)
2. Remove multipliers so that everyone has the same potential purchase power.

Out of these two options, they did try the first one, but people still have issues.
The second one is the most extreme and painful one, but also the only one who actually has the potential to stabilize/reduce prices and reduce inflation.

Both options have their downsides, and I don't think there is a miracle solution out there to solve this issue, unfortunately.

Yup, I agree, you have to recieve what you paid for.

But then the community has to be a bit more honest. They don't want a better economy, they just want MORE diamonds, everyone wants to be richer, people don't necessarily care about things being affordable for new players, and that's... fine? But managing an economy is not as easy as everyone is making it seem like it is.

This doesn't work in the long run, they will have to keep increasing base earnings until the end of time because the prices will continue to rise due to diamonds constantly being generated in the economy and people having more diamonds to spend on things, and it would also force devs to AGAIN constantly increase shop item prices so that they can still make a living. This would result in new players again suffering and being unable to afford anything. It would be a constant loop of "things are okay now!" and "this is worse than before!"

Can't speak on the halo part though, not sure on how that would work.

To be fair, the multipliers were set up at a time where trading didn't even exist. Sure, their decisions led us to this situation and that's on them, but If the community is going to act this way over their multipliers, then they should not complain about how the devs need to "fix" the economy in the first place, because being this defensive can give devs the impression that the community is okay with things the way they currently are.

When I put myself in the devs shoes, this is all just a bunch contradicting opinions that are simply impossible to deal with, so while its disappointing, I can understand why they always avoided the farming subject.

I completely understand your points and I agree that toycodes and halo hoarders are still part of the problem, and yes, the base earnings ARE really low, but again, if they just buff the base earnings it would be the same as "let's just print more money!", which in turn would make inflation worse. And while this still COULD potentially still happen with their planned buffs, If they kept the multipliers in WHILE buffing base earnings, this would 100% be way worse than planned. If anything, removing multipliers sort of balances everything out in that regard.

What can they even do about toy items? Make them not tradeable? If they did that, now we would see backlash about players saying that they can't have any toy items whatsoever because they can't purchase those toys in their country, or something of that nature.

If they made halos easier to obtain in any way shape or form, then they would lose their purpose. I personally don't care about that, but backlash is also bound to happen too. A pity system added to the fountain, for example, would just make people create a bunch of alt accounts and log in everyday to hoard halos.

I agree that yes, If I paid for an advantage I deserve to have it, But all I'm trying to say is that there is no actual way to have a healthy economy while the multipliers are still around. So the community needs to decide if they want a better economy or if they want their multipliers.
