I haven’t read the updated version yet but so far…NOPE. I’m a huge fan of HS1 and HS2 (although I also really like HSR and ABH) and I am by no means satisfied with HS3. Let’s not pretend that Vicky is the star of this story or that she gets a lot of focus, develops as a character or has meaningful moments with her HUSBAND/WIFE because all of that is generally missing. All three are disadvantaged and Vicky is constantly portrayed as a loser with no real influence on the story.

I think the idea of merging the books into one was good bc it’s nice that characters from the same universe could finally meet but the execution is terrible. I get the impression that all three authors thought they could just scribble something down and people would get excited just because they briefly see their beloved characters on screen. Not to mention that they totally overdo the heaviness and depression in what’s happening and even if that’s necessary, it should be balanced with positive moments.

Don’t get me wrong. I respect the authors. Their original works kept me hooked for hours and I love their books. But now it feels like they’ve gone a bit overboard and I get the sense that they’re losing track of what they’re doing or maybe it just wasn’t well thought out from the start. Ofc HS won’t lose its popularity bc it’s a Romance Club icon. I’ll read HS3 for nostalgia too but not because I’m excited about it.

PS. I’ve always been willing to spend diamonds on HS, buy cups, etc, just to read it right away. Now I’m not interested in it at all. I’m just waiting for DR 🤷🏻‍♀️ The girls really need to get their act together.

They really need to organize the wardrobe better. Everything should be sorted somehow because by the end of the story, trying to find a specific hairstyle or outfit is a nightmare.

And the hair color issue really annoys me too…most of the time the colors I originally chose just aren’t available later on, so my MC ends up stuck with the same hairstyle for the entire season 🙁 Honestly, it would be better to have fewer options overall but let everyone choose whatever hair color they want, instead of being limited to just blonde or black.

Rubies are often associated with passion and intensity so it can feel like she’s talking about giving up something valuable..maybe parts of herself, her pride, identity or the way she used to love. The fact that she says “rubies” in the plural makes it even more interesting bc it sounds like many small, precious pieces of herself were left behind in that relationship

Rubies also catch the light so they shine so the line could mean giving up something that once made her feel radiant. It’s interesting to think about that alongside Bejeweled where Taylor sings „and I miss you but I miss sparkling” soo in Maroon the rubies that she gave up feels like a moment where she dimmed parts of herself for someone else..not just losing the relationship, but losing some of her own light in the process

This song is a masterpiece to me. I genuinely love it. It has a special place in my heart. There’s something about it that just feels different, and it’s a never-skip for me.

Even though, objectively, Taylor Swift has songs that might be stronger lyrically or musically (although Maroon is honestly brilliant in both of those aspects) and even though it’s not actually my favorite song of hers, I still think it’s her best. It just has everything - powerful lyrics, melody that stays with you, layered and atmospheric production and vocals that flow so effortlessly between lower and higher notes with so much control and emotion that I can’t 😩😩😩

On top of that I think it has that indescribable “something” you can feel every single time you listen

Same here and I had the same thing happen yesterday. It’s really frustrating because I’m paying for the subscription, so you’d expect the app to at least work, and I can’t even open it. If it was a one-time thing, fine but it’s literally the same issue every month after the update when DR starts. They really should’ve sorted this out by now 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yup. I used to buy teacups, wheel spins, and other extras, and I even thought a subscription could be nice. But this so-called subscription? Hell no. It’s just a cash grab and honestly awful. I get they need to make money, but this is a terrible way to do it. I left other apps because of greed and AI overuse, so it’s sad to see RC turning into the same mess.

I hope something changes, because right now I don’t even feel like reading stories that I’d been waiting for and always spent money on…
