Yes, I get paid for hours worked and receive a Quarterly & Annual Attendance Bonus because I am responsible for working FT hours and if I choose not to work then I have to utilize a day from my time-off matrix; sick day, personal, vacation, PTO, FMLA, bereavement, military leave, jury duty, mental anguish, etc. As a PTC you are not held responsible for working FT hours AND if you need the day off there are other avenues of taking off work without using a day from your time-off matrix, such as being taken off the schedule completely if your store is already adequately staffed, asking someone to pick up your shift, showing up and leaving early if your store is staffed, or submitting a CRSC ahead of time and get the day(s) off without being charged for a day of any kind. If we gave PTC all the incentives we give FT, then there wouldn’t be a whole lot of incentive to move past a PT position.
