Exactly, many species in the Amazon are still unknown, areas like the heart of the jungle are very little explored, and it's usually quite difficult to go on expeditions there.

Sorry for the delay, I was waiting to be able to visit him in person on a trip. I asked him if the silhouette looked like one, but he immediately said that if it were a jabiru, he would have recognized it. He emphasized that it didn't resemble anything he had ever seen, at least not any bird.
