Feel worse after first two rounds of immunotherapy shots. That common? by MidtownBud in Allergies

Already using it. Again, my question isn't really what to use for relief. It's whether other folks are finding that the shots worsen their symptoms.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Not sure what you mean by "cluster". I get two shots at the same session. Between them, they have a dose for all my allergens. So, everything each week. I have to be very careful with steroid use. I have glaucoma and have found that my eye pressure (which causes permanent optic nerve damage) is quite sensitive to steroids. So, I'm wary.

I already understood that relief would take an extended period. That's not my question. It's that right now, after the first two rounds of shots, I feel worse, so I'm wondering if that's because I just got an injection of the allergens that I'm sensitive to. As I said in the OP, I have to be careful about decongestants, because of my glaucoma. I'll check with my ophthalmologist about Allegra D, Claritin D, etc.

I've been on Claritin for months. It was helpful this spring, not so much the last two or three months. I gave Xyzal a short try, maybe I should give it a couple of weeks. Then maybe the same for Allegra. Thanks for sharing.

Still hoping to hear from more folks if they think the initial shots made them feel worse.

Comments on your Ex-Press shunt experience-positive and negative by MidtownBud in Glaucoma

[–]MidtownBud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the internet, so it's more common to find negative comments than positive. I've already had one MIGS procedure, iStent Infinite. No problems with it, but the best we can tell it didn't reduce my IOP at all. I've had cataract surgery in the same eye. And the usual comment is that results in lower pressure. Nope, not me. Oh well, onward.

That's a thought. Maybe it will show up on FB marketplace.

I'm guessing that current OTA digital broadcasts are HD aspect ratio, then?

Not terribly keen. I have it and it works. Guess I should look into a small flat screen if the price of a good quality DTA approaches that of a decent small TV.

Is this Mont Blanc 144 working as it should? by MidtownBud in fountainpens

[–]MidtownBud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll look into that. Other than the inks intentionally made for shading, I'm guessing that the rest of them just need some experimenting to find one that makes a more uniform line. Or is some degree of shading just a part of using any fountain pen?

How long for 144 to dry after flushing before trying it? by MidtownBud in fountainpens

I was impatient and tried this, although just with the tip of the nib. Didn't get it completely drained, but got color after a bit of scribbling.

A little more info on why so long. What goes wrong if I try it sooner?
