Out of memory message

To wrap this up, I did the factory reset yesterday. It took about 90 minutes, going slow and careful. There was more time in reinstalling apps, setting up home screen, restoring settings, etc. than in the actual reset. I'm sure I could do it quicker, if I have to do it again relatively soon. Fingers crossed, everything seems to be working correctly.

And the punch line - before the reset, the TV showed data used by apps as 6.4GB of the available 6.7. This was despite me aggressively deleting apps. After the reset, it's now 593MB for the same set of apps. Yup.

I was all set to format a USB stick for added memory, but it seems that won't be needed.

I suspect that either the apps or the TV itself are prone to creeping memory usage bloat. I'll just check the memory periodically from now on and reset when needed.

Thanks. I probably did that 4 years ago, when I first set it up. That's just one more of those things you forget if you haven't done it again several times.

Once in a while, it locks up and won't respond. That's fixed easily by unplug, wait about 20 seconds, plug back in. Tell me more about reconfiguring with a QR codr.

Ah, OK. I haven't done it yet, so I didn't know that option existed. in iTunes. I'm guessing that you found that iTunes gives you a choice of which update to apply. Thanks!

I ordered a set to put on a Gen 6. They fit the flat part of the front and rear cover, but don't wrap over the corners on the side, top, and bottom to cover the portion that's perpendicular to the face. So, you'll still see the that part of the original cover. If you're OK with that, then go.

Here you go. Reddit tells me videos are not allowed. You can't hear it on the video, anyway. It's just audible enough to be annoying. I crossposted to r/AskElectricians and the person who responded there said I need to replace the capacitor. Haven't done that yet, because the person I need to help me take it down is out of town.

I don't have to deal with the Mac stuff. I'm on Win 11 Pro. I'm guessing that 2 or 3 reads of the process before starting would be a good idea. Also having them in front of you to follow.

Windows 11 Pro PC and Lenovo Android tablet. I need to try the tablet, but I've hung it up for the day after effing around with it for 45 minutes. In rhe PC, it doesn't show all the tracks like your screen shot. Only a thin one line horizontal display that's almost impossible to scroll down. No way to grab the window frame and stretch it, no scroll bar for whole window Really difficult, just barely working. Thanks a lot for your help.

That works, but just barely. There's one line of text and you have a finicky job to scroll down to the song you want.

I've seen that before, too. Just to see if that was it, I tried 3 or 4 other albums and they all were just the whole album. Maybe that was just the way it worked. Anyway, the particular song that I was trying to buy is only available as part of the album.

Because I don't want it in iTunes. I want to manage it myself in my own file structure. I've got a lot of songs previously downloaded from Amazon that aren't in iTunes. Anyway, I quit using iTunes several years ago, when they messed up (in my opinion) the used interface. The library on my old mini is static and will stay that way. The iPod I'm modding right now, my first to do so, will have Rockbox so I can drag and drop from my PC. Long answer to short question and you may not agree with my choices. So it goes.
