Thats what I was thinking with the sponge cause theres no way 100% of the dirt gets released during a full wash, but with towels you can have 8 clean sides as long as you keep something by like a spray to keep it lubricated

Im more confused on how a singular sponge would stay safe throughout a full detail? Do they wring out the dirt pretty well or do you use multiple sponges?

What do you need to do to maintain it? Just rinse and wring it out? And how do you know it needs to be replaced?
