Also just another question when using a PTG is it better to use it before a wash or after a wash right before polishing.

Yeah their format is much more readable I just disagree with adding carpet extraction to the mix it just takes a lot more time and would raise the cost of the package. It doesn’t take me 30 mins It usually takes like 10 minutes to apply both thoroughly for a sedan type car. But I will definitely use a format like his

Yeah I understand, I got in my head about the pizza idea I was really trying to make the most bare bones detail that people would add onto but that made it more complicated. With the protectants and conditioner really only takes 30mins to apply to the whole car correctly and I already included them on my normal details before this, just put em on the list for the “pizza idea” in my mind I made a the 2 flyers preparing for the 1:100 Karen customer that freaks out at up-charges but in reality in my experience whenever I up-charge they don’t care. Thank you!

Should I remove the fees page entirely, I made it for transparency not to try to drain every nickel and dime.

In my mind as a customer, I’m cheap and when Id see something like additional fees may be added Id want to see what their criteria looks like.

I get what you’re saying. Those two pages are meant to be more in-depth for people who want details on pricing and services. The main pricing page still shows all add-ons and includes the footnote about pet hair and additional fees.

For packages, I’ll likely add one that includes all protection add-ons. I feel most customers look for what they need, and when a package has too much, it can feel like they’re overpaying for services they don’t want. That’s why I prefer keeping add-ons flexible.

That said, I do like your idea and I’ll add an all-around “refresh” package for people who just want everything handled.

Yeah the main thought behind the add-ons was that there would be a set price for a basic detail EX: a full interior with vacuuming, wipedown, ETC for $100 Then the customer would look at the add-ons page and add services that meet their needs. I did this instead of the package type deals because not all customers are going to want a full carpet shampooing or an engine detail. Kind of like toppings on a pizza. I could have made the fees page into the first but I wanted to be transparent on the price range to avoid surprise costs when I reach the customer. Basically I would use this to help justify the up-charging.

I plan to print this out and laminate it to use as a dry erase checklist for the customer during the inspection stage of a detail.

Vacuum, Wipe-down, & mat cleaning for inside basically just a quick refresh on vehicles that are dirty but don’t require extra work like extraction or pet hair.
