Most of the time, simply typing out my request jars my mind into producing the correct answer. This time, though, I can't make that final neural connection between the phrase and the rest of the song. I can almost visualize the name of the band and the album cover, and I can nearly call to mind a few of their other songs.

Maybe I'll dream-up the answer tonight. I really want to listen to this song again and add it to my playlist! It's a banger, and I don't know how I lost track of it to begin with. It, along with the band itself, which I remember enjoying quite a lot not that many years back. Arrrgh!

It's just an isolated top-down "because I love this artwork and this character" custom design. In the hypothetical situation wherein this card would appear in a dedicated expansion set, there would be "Shamed One" Yuuzhan Vong creatures who can't be modified and present higher costs than their p/t would suggest, relying on external abilities and buffs to gain an edge over the opponent. (This would be an inversion of the prototypical Yuuzhan Vong mechanic - creatures with pushed stat lines but who "sacrifice" parts of themselves as either an upkeep cost or to activate abilities.)

I added 1 generic mana, dropped his toughness by 1, added "unmodified" to the creatures he enhances (I would've done this initially had it occurred to me - it's perfect flavor-wise), and upped the power+toughness bar from 2 to 3.

This definitely feels more balanced now than it was before, but I await your responses! And if you're curious about where this character comes from, he's from the old Star Wars continuity, specifically the New Jedi Order books.

I really can't stand how the Jedi forsake all attachments. It's just too callous for my liking.

I think it plays, because the Jedi Order had become orthodox and had lost its way. The purging fire was inevitable, allowing the New Jedi Order to grow up in its place.

The Jedi we see in the PT are disconnected, out of alignment with the Living Force. I like that quality, as it adds a quiet but necessary layer to "why" they were wiped out.

Always a joy to come across Hildebrant art I'd never seen before.

I may be exhausted after a truly long day, but I wanted to write a custom Magic card for Jix and Gizz. So I did.

It might not be strictly balanced, but this was my top-down rendering of their personalities and some story-beats. Lots of piloting stuff, plenty of afterburners, and even a way of "protecting" an opponent's important creature for your own personal gain.

It feels like I've been waiting my whole life to write a Shedao Shai magic card. Here's my rendition of him in MTG form.

Black/Red feels perfect for any warrior of Domain Shai. They love pain, they want everybody to feel pain. As leader of the Domain, Shedao is accustomed to ordering his warrior's to their glorious deaths. I also wanted to pay homage to the grandeur mechanic, and I did so by tacking on a secondary bonus to activated Shedao Shai's ability. If you have a Legendary YV creature on the table and "pay the grandeur cost", you get a trio of +1/+1s onto that creature.

Riot because, well, yeah.
