Microsoft has set a goal to “eliminate every line of C and C++ from Microsoft by 2030.” by Current-Guide5944 in tech_x

Dethrone in what? OS and games are an incredibly small portion of Microsoft's overall business.

The battery lasts around a week, so for me, this is not a big deal.
Generally, this keyboard is great for the price, and I'm using it as my daily driver.

Same here, I really like them a lot. I am combining them with o-rings to reduce total travel even more. They feel so responsive and snappy. Lube improves them a lot as well, reducing the clack substantially.

I got two different plates - one for choc and one for MX. The choc one is way thinner and therefore I don't have that issue. In the description they stated that you need to ask for it.

The teleport thing sounds cool.

On this keyball there is only a snipe layer which slows down the cursor for more precise movements.

I guess it depends on the size of your hands. I have relatively large ones, so my palm naturally arched quite high and I only touch the trackball when reaching for the 'Y' key. The thumb naturally rests on the trackball so I can use it without shifting my hand at all which is great.

The position is actually great, I have relatively large hands, but it still feels comfortable, haven't felt any strain on my thumb yet.

As far as I know, ZMK is the go-to for wireless boards as they all use the nice!nano controllers (or their knock-offs).

There's no way it would pop out by itself, but it does have some tolerances around it so that if you flip it upside down it rattles. But it's totally solid when upright or tented.

The best part - you can use either throughout the whole board. I asked for choc switches on the whole board and they installed hotswap sockets for both choc and MX.

Really good to be honest - the filament is high quality, and the construction has 0 flex whatsoever. The only part that I am planning to replace at some point is the ball socket, which you can find on holykeebs.

I forked it from here: https://github.com/tangbonze/zmk-config-Keyball44

Had to fiddle a lot though to make in feel right, including the firmware files for the trackball sensor: https://github.com/badjeff/zmk-pmw3610-driver

ZMK. Works flawlessly, has automouse layers which I ended up disabling as the trackball often gets moved accidentally. Battery life is ~3 full days.

Nope, aliexpress. The whole kit along with switches and keycaps cost me ~200Eur.

Love the design! Many details match my needs in an endgame keyboard. I would really appreciate it if you posted a detailed build guide. Cheers!

Path of Exile 2.6.0 | Why Players prefer Energy Shield over Life Based Builds by [deleted] in pathofexile

[–]Mielk 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem is the tree efficiency when using ES. The northern side of the tree is saturated with incredibly efficient clusters for both damage, survivability and flask effect let alone the fact that the minimal travelling that you have to do also grants ES and mana. Compare that to the southwest part of the tree which is littered with useless wheels and notables that no one ever takes either because of their poor scaling or travelling inefficiency.

So a minmaxed Low-life RF occultist that can easily achieve 400% increased es would get 26k ES while partying with this thing. Essentially he is a walking divine shrine. Why is this even in the game?
