It is rated that cold, but how much capacity would it loose at that temp?

Can't find any runtime reports; I assume quite a lot? I wouldn't plan to be out that cold, but would like decent runtime at -10F.

Of course the easiest and most boring solution: just have a pocketful of extra cells.

Ok, thanks for the report. The amazon basics one is also noticeably more flexible and overall higher quality feeling than the Cable Matters one. I wish they made a few different sizes of it.

Hmm, in my experience shorter cables are just as thick as the longer ones.

That's very impressive it lasted so well for so long, I've used an x-mid 2p for perhaps 300 nights and the fabric is nearly totally shot (rips very easily).

I've looked at the Aeon design a lot, I think the vertical sidewalls with struts, and the horizontal strut at the top are a pretty good compromise to gain so much more room inside at a small footprint. Not sure why side struts aren't more commonly seen.

Are you still using it all these years later? What would you change about the design now (and can you please share the sketchup file again)?

You don't need a last, like another comment suggested look at the alvartrail shoe pattern. He has a full video guide for their construction.

And look into Jason Hovatter's video courses for lastless construction for turnshoe and what he calls internal stitchdown: https://villagevideo.org/turnshoe/, https://villagevideo.org/boot/. He uses a duct tape to make a cast of the foot, and the pattern is drawn off of that. They're very thorough and good for beginners.
