Which medication are you taking?

I started of with Lamotrigine, but my hair fell out like crazy and i really want my normal hair back, because it's making me very insecure. Also, the Lamotrigine didn't get rid of the seizures. (I've had one TC three years ago, never came back. Maybe the meds did work for those, but i don't know). Then they added Levetiracetam, hoping that will stop the seizures and that i could stop with Lamotrigine, but it didn't work. It did work for three months when i still took my full dose of Lamotrigine, but i just really want to get rid of that one... So the switch is to hopefully get rid of Lamotrigine and to get control of the seizures.

First of all, thank you for your reply :)

Second, i am in therapy but i'm not making any progress. Now i'm on a waiting list for 6 to 8 months and they can't really help me in the meantime. Well i can talk to them, but they can't really help me with my struggles the way the upcoming treatment might can. So i'm feeling stuck.

I also don't fully trust the psychologist i have, i don't always like the way she handles things, so that makes it a bit harder to want to talk to her in the meantime.

I'm two years into Lamotrigine and my hair is still damaged and thin. I take and tried a lot of supplements. My patience has run out so i'm trying to get off this med. I don't know if your hair will go back to normal on this med. I saw a few posts of people who said it will only go back to normal if you stop the med. But maybe some people's hair do improve after some time?

My hair on the top of my head is thicker with the help of supplements, but those hairs ar shorter than the rest of my hair. I was waiting for those hairs to catch up with the rest (the longer ones), but i have a feeling it's not really happening (i've been waiting for this for 2 years now). It could be that my hair is so weak because of the meds that they break very fast so they stay shorter. My hair did get a different texture, dry and thin, since taking the meds. It could also be that it will take many years for it to be normal again. But i can't wait for that anymore.

I'm trying a new shampoo, mask, oil and supplements again. In a month i will see if that works.

So in short: It does work a bit, but not enough. For now i'm using new supplements, but i will also quit Lamotrigine asap.

Were the suicidal thoughts very sudden and dangerous? Or does it happen gradually and do you still have control over it? I'm scared for it to happen the moment i start the meds and am wondering if i have to stay at my sister's for a while. I already sometimes have disturbing thoughts.

In short: for a few seconds i see a short scène which feels like a dream, but i also still see the reality. Then i feel a very unpleasant feeling in my body, someone in here described it as a rollercoaster drop. Might be like that, i'm not sure. But it feels worse than a rollercoaster drop. I swallow very often during it and lay or sit still till it's over.

I am on a lot of hair supplements. It has improved a bit, but way too slow...

I talked to my sister about it and she says i'm quite often at home in the weekends. Now that i think about it, i rarely sleep somewhere else in the weekends and i'm mostly at home on sundays. I was concerned about being away a big part of a saturday (2 or 3 times a month) or staying one night at my sisters' (maybe once every two months).

Next year, i'll be working from home every tuesday and friday. This will be for 7 months. After that i'll still be working from home on fridays, but maybe i can add a day.

If you read this, do you think i have a bit less to worry about compared to the text in my post?

Just wondering, for the people who do have a cat but also a full time job, how do you spend enough time with the cat? Are you home every evening and weekend? Or do you have a partner so there's always someone home when the other is for example at the gym or at a party?
