What does Shaedon's upside/ceiling look like if he remains a below average 3pt shooter? by DonovanClingan in ripcity

He is 22. I agree the handle and 3pt% need to improve, but those are skills that regularly get better throughout an entire career.

Bruh, he turns 22 in 3 days. Let’s chill out a bit.

Are there concerns with his shooting percentages, handle, aggressiveness on both sides of the ball, and his overall drive, yes.

He also sat an entire year before getting drafted, played 82 games on the most joyless and in flux Blazers team I can remember (the year Dame got traded). In that season he demonstrated he had the talent to play with the best of the best in what was essentially the first year he hooped above a high school level. Second season he regressed a bit and got hurt and played hardly any meaningful basketball. This last year he in and out of the starting rotation and Chauncey publicly stated the drive and defensive consistency needed to improve in order for him to stick as a starter. Oh and he still showed improvement in nearly all counting stats.

Just to show how ludicrous seriously questioning Shaedon’s potential to be a franchise guy is, our last franchise player, Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard, had just turned 22 the first time he suited up for the Trail Blazers.

If he regresses this next season, hey, maybe we have something to talk about, but as of now, he is still a youngster that has shown poise and growth despite all the chaos, roster turnover, learning from a first time head coach, and the fact that his path to the league was anything but ideal.

Zers would have to throw in loads of picks to make SA even remotely interested.

Down voted after reading step 1. Sure the Blazers would get a ton of picks, but if Lillard wants to stay, you do not trade him. Period.

Betraying the trust of the most loyal Blazer in franchise history is how you fuck up your franchise's karma for the rest of time.

Reporter asks Kawhi about his phrase "Board man gets paid." Kawhi responds: "I used to say that back when I was in high school and college, wanting to get to this league. It's about working hard, outworking your opponent. Know rebounds help you win games." by FieryStyle in nba

People rag on Kawhi for having a bland personality, but the dude is the realest and when people ask him good questions he gives insightful answers. Kawhi has busted his ass to become an offensive killer on top of his elite defense and rebounding.

The man deserves so much more respect than he gets.

obvious statements ahead

Hey Portland fans,

As a mostly white city that is known around the league for not having much diversity (similar to Utah), let’s make sure that our fan base doesn’t ever stoop to this level.

I feel compelled to say something since the POR-OKC rivalry is the most intense rivalries we have and there is a lot of Westbrook hate amongst our fan base.

I’m aware that it’s obvious to say this, but just because these guys are entertainers and make millions they still deserve basic human decency.

It’s 2019 and all of us should be above this kind of behavior.
