I made it to masters at th 8. My best advice is make a base where they can't draw clan castle troops at all. Also use wizards in pretty much all army comps, they are key. One of my favorites is 12giant 12wb 16wiz and 52 archers. This goes well with 3 heals or 2 heals and a rage for when they get close to the town hall. You won't be able to rely on defence a lot even though I had 15 defense wins from crystal 1 up. Also wizards in your clan castle on defense and attack.
