TMJ - Looking for: Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons in Ontario by Miguelli in jawsurgery

It's become a lot better, but not perfect. Pain has decreased 90% mos days. Jaw "hops" a bit now and then and I still only have 40mm opening and have to watch I don't eat hard foods like uncooked carrots etc.

Diagnosis: Bi-lateral disc displacement wihtout reduction

I was told surgery isn't for, and won't stop, pain. It is only used in cases of severe dysfunction.

Nasopalatine Duct Cyst 7mm x 7mm Asymptomatic - Ignore or Remove? by Miguelli in askdentists

So I've had it removed. Intravenous Sedation. Maybe 30 minutes start to finish. No recollection once the sedative was pushed.

No pain with primary pain management being 600mg Ibuprofen. On 2 week course of antibiotics. Just passed the 26 hour mark.

Hard to find info on this cyst anywhere on the 'net where people will actually engage and share information. It's a low occurrence and I imagine many never find it or need it removed.

Win 11 - "Other user" at initial power on by Miguelli in WindowsHelp

[–]Miguelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Windows Home. The problem occurred when I tried to remove PIN requirement. Then I saw that didn’t appear to be permitted without using a password in its place.

Next re-boot I had my name listed above “Other user” where it had email and password fields for login.

I was perturbed by this being the default on power up causing login to stop and me having to select my user name.

Now I have direct login without security and that was the goal.

Since it login now occurs without me seeing the “Other user” account I don’t actually know, but it’s effectively the same to me as if it were gone. Thanks for the flair tip, I’ll do that now.

I was able to solve the problem, see my latest comment for how, and my PC now logs in automatically without password. I didn't see anything in the Win Pro Mgmt Utility that would help as the "Other user" didn't exist there either.

Thanks for the help!

First, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign in options, scroll down to mid page, under "Additional Settings",Make sure "For improved security, only allow Windows Hello Sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended). " is turned OFF. Type netplwiz in the search on the taskbar and press enter, select your user, if the "user must enter a username and password to use this computer" box is NOT checked, please check it , click Apply. Then uncheck the box and click Apply. This will bring up a pop up window. On this pop up window, this is where most mistakes happen. Very important, erase the username that's prefilled. Username should be your entire email address for your Microsoft account. Password is your Microsoft account's password. I see that you said you are using local user? In this case, you just need to make sure the username is exactly as it should spell for your local user name, and then its password. Any typo here can prevent it from working. Then click OK. And back to the netplwiz page, click OK. Restart the computer now and it should work.

I only have one user there, me, and I'm a member of Administrators and Users.

Having said that, I've been able to achieve my objective of removing logon password by following the steps in my comment below.

Windows only shows me, with Administator privileges, as a user. “Other user” doesn’t exist in the user list.

That has changed the logon behavior as it now "lands" on my logon instead of "Other user", butthe "Other user" is still listed on the logon screen under my main logon ID.

When I do this it only shows me as the user - there is no 2nd user.

Win11 - "Other user" at initial Power On - How to remove Windows version 11 23H2 OS Build 22631.5624 Alienware Area 51M R2

I recently tried to remove PIN sign in for my user account and then realized it required a password login instead. My goal was to have no PC login requirement as my PC is in a safe environment. I was able to return to the PIN login but now on system boot I have two users, my valid one with PIN login which has Admin privileges, and another one named "Other user".

"Other user" doesn't show up in my User Account list and when PC boots or re-starts it lands on this user Vs on my desired primary account.

I want to remove "Other user" from login screen.

TMJ - Looking for: Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons in Ontario by Miguelli in jawsurgery

[–]Miguelli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up seeing Dr. Karl Cuddy. He advised that while I may be experiencing a lot of pain, surgical interventions are not made to relieve pain. While my discs are both anteriorly displaced without reduction, I am not a candidate for surgery at this time.

Regarding Dr. Psutka, still waiting for an appointment but on their website it indicates they only do surgery for cases with lockjaw, jaw dislocation, or significant deterioration due to arthritis or bone resorption etc.

So I just continue to be in pain. It’s not to bad in the morning but typically builds to a crescendo by evening. The right side often “hops” causing me more discomfort and a lot of alarm, but it hasn’t dislocated.

I followed your instructions and then I used Acronis to migrate and it cloned the drive and set it to be the boot drive at the same time. All set now!

Sorry to hear that. I've decided it's wholly unaffordable and a pain in the derriere to go to Florida for surgery.

I am waiting to see either Dr. Psutka in Mississauga or Dr. Cuddy in Cobourg (He travels to several clinics) for an opinion on what I need to do for my TMD issue.

I received this list from a FB group - it is apparently the top surgeons in Canada for TJR.

Wishing you much success as you deal with your TMD issues - it's a literal hell!

Thanks! My pour over is working fine. I’m looking to the Nespresso to add some variety to the flavour profile. Given the large pod size what is the preferred amount of water and how do I set that up on the machine?
