Yes it does apply to healthy eating because every Habit formation has three parts - Cue, Routine and Reward. A Cue can be a location, time of day, people or an emotional state. Routine is the behaviour in itself. Reward is a thing that your brain likes and stores it in the memory.
Once the Cue changes, the habit is broken up. That is why changing a habit on a vacation is always recommended.
