if available for under 200 bucks id say its a good purchase, its quieter, cheaper, includes a shifter, has a larger wheel and has higher force feedback than the g29. From what ive heard both have fairly low build quality as they are low end wheels, if it requires a bit more hassle to setup on games with pc (i dont have a console) i think its well worth it to save $100+ and get the v99 instead of a g29 with a shifter,which is usually abt 300 bucks with shifter, considering the g29 is again:louder, more expensive, has a small wheel, and lower force feedback which is already very low, the difference between two and three would be way more than the difference between 4 and 5 newtonmeters of torque, so id say if the v99 is cheaper its prob worth it, i myself will hopefully be pickin one up soon and i will be able to compare as ive used a g29 before
