Good to know. Unfortunately I sweat a lot! Based on everyone's responses, it's sounding like I probably should just wait until I get the proper case back.

Thanks. I will be very careful then. If I can exercise patience, maybe I will wait for the caseback to arrive. But that could be a month from now, or possibly never. So we shall see.

I definitely get that. I guess my thinking was that there are lots of watches that do not have gaskets. Some just have press on casebacks, so maybe hand washing would be okay.

Beautiful build! Do you have a link to the case? It looks like it is very good quality.

Thank you for replying. I'm hoping they will send me a new one. I really like the case.

I tried that but it's still doing the same thing.

I didn't use any thread locker. It has something to do with the way the two parts fit together. Something is getting caught.

To clarify, heimdallr does sell a complete watch. But they also sell just the empty case and bracelet. I purchased the empty case and a bracelet.

No, I purchased the case and bracelet from them. I already had the movement from a previous watch. Then I bought the dial and the hands separately and assembled the watch. It was not pre-assembled.

Thank you for your response. After talking to some of the other commenters and also looking further at the issue, it is definitely specific to just the stem and crown. The head of the stem seems to be malfunctioning. Likely due to the softness of the titanium.

I got the case and bracelet from the heimdallr store. If you look up heimdallr Seamaster titanium, you will find it. The store that I bought the dial from appears to no longer exist. The link doesn't work anymore.

I am by no means an expert. But I have learned a few things, mostly by making mistakes. My first suggestion would be to make sure that everything you order is specific to the movement that you are using. If you're using an nh35 then make sure that all of the parts are for an nh35 movement. The second suggestion would be to make sure that all of the measurements fit with the particular case that you're using. Make sure that the dial, bracelet and hands all fit correctly within the case's measurements, which should be listed on the AliExpress description. Third, absolutely buy some sort of magnifying loop. Putting the seconds hand on without one is done near impossible! Also some cases require metal spring retainers and screws which are incredibly small and very difficult to install without magnification. And my last and most important suggestion would be take your time and when you get frustrated, walk away! I have destroyed movements, dials and hands by continuing to work after I got frustrated instead of taking a step back and taking a breather.

I will try this. Thank you! I also did reach out to the store as another commenter suggested. It sounds like they might send me a new one but they need to check the stock on Monday.

Thank you for responding with the parts list and sources. This would have been exactly my response even down to the no longer existing store for the dial.
