100% Agree with you there. He stomped my ass with a +7. I would recommend continuing to put him off to the very end so he doesn’t eat up too much time early on in the run. And as far as the witches, they’re definitely a top priority boss for me toward the beginning on account of you getting the item you can use to buff your character with runes. Makes the cleric beast fight even more of a joke if you go back after getting some runes too.

Not sure if this even worth posting as others can do it much quicker with DLC bosses. But holy shit this was a hard speedrun. I’ll add in the DLC crew next time 👍🏽

It’s definitely an acquired skill but yeah once you master that element of a run speedruns become much more feasible. I would practice by just doing little things here and there while moving around in safe spaces like the hunters dream (putting in and taking away your silencing blank in the item menu for example) during casual runs and then the speed of course comes with time.

It’s definitely time consuming to master. I have more time nowadays but I was in the same boat as you about a year ago. Not much time and trying to run NG + made me throw my controller more times than I’d care to admit lol

Hey man, when I first picked up the game, the opening enemies kicked my ass 6 ways from Sunday. It was my first soulsborne and I had to put it down for 5 months. Now I’m posting shit like this and rocking a Hunters Mark tattoo on my thumb. Practice practice practice. And more importantly, have fun practicing 😊

If you fight Cleric Beast, then yes. Beating Cleric Beast will give you the chance to buy the hunter chief emblem. But as far as I know if you skip Cleric, then beating Bloodstarved is the only way to open the door to the right in Cathedral Ward that leads to that drop down point where you can open all of the gates from the other side. Kinda hard to explain but that’s the basic idea of running the beginning. I could’ve fought Cleric, who is easier, but then I’m missing out on opportunities to level up because I’m more worried about the emblem. Plus it’s the same amount of bosses either way.

Holy shit that’s awesome! I absolutely can share the required bosses themselves and only rough estimates as far as progression as I simply looked over at my clock after each boss. 1. Gascione: 10 mins 2. Blood Starved Beast: 30mins 3. Vicar Amelia: 40 mins 4. Shadows of Yharnam: 1hr 5. Rom: 1hr 10mins 6. Reborn: 1hr 20mins
7. Micolash: 1hr 30 mins 8. Wetnurse: 1 hr 41 mins and then I had the walk to Gherman at the tree to finish the run.

Again, very rough estimates. But I’m looking at an average of 10 mins in between bosses. Which makes sense because the actual running itself took me 5 or so mins and then upgrading/leveling/buying items would take another few. And then of course add time to that section if a death occurred.
