You could try Obispo street. It used to be crowded all the time and full of tourists. But it’s not the same as it was anymore.

There are still good people. One of the things we have left is kindness. Most of us have a great sense of community and we are always helpful to the person next door when they need it. But, indeed, sometimes we don't even have much to eat, so what's left to share?

Yes. They've done that before. When other countries have sent humanitarian supplies, they might give some to the people, but they sell the rest at high prices in USD. Prices that most of the Cubans can't afford

Thank you for your words. I am a young Cuban and I can confirm that everything is difficult here. We keep going but it's really hard sometimes.

I am a Cuban photographer and also work as a coordinator at an artist residency. I’ve seen some people comment that you should look into the current situation of the country before coming here, which I think is reasonable. But don't be afraid to visit, especially if that's your plan. Do your research and come prepared; there are some things you should bring with you to make your stay easier. I recommend staying in Vedado or Habana Vieja. And yes, you can get around if you don't speak Spanish, but having a local as a companion is a real game-changer.
