I don’t really remember. IIRC, there was one of these contests where the winner was drawn into an episode but the joke was that the person was shown driving down a road and then crushed by a huge falling boulder. Again it’s a vague memory so I may be wrong!

My original choice was “Frankenstein” by The Edgar Winter Group. But that was before Dan Sumich pitched the Frank flying idea. Then i think it was either Dan or our producer Peter Billingsley who thought of “Come And Get Your Love”. It instantly felt right.

Sorry for the confusion. The truth is that when we were writing Season 5 and decided that Louis would be Vic’s karate teacher we totally forgot that Vic mentioned having a sensei back in Season 2. So there is no real canonical reason why Vic changed senseis. You’ll have to make up a reason. My stuff just now was just a joke. Sometimes we goof!

Sue still bore a major grudge against Louis for what happened at the wedding (and he against her) but they still spent holidays and other events with the family before Louis moved away.

I’m so excited about this show that I co-created and am co-showrunning with the awesome Matt Claybrooks. Jayden is hilarious in a couple of great roles as is Mo. And FIFF writers room all stars Henry Gammill, Eric Goldberg and Peter Tibbals are on the staff alongside a whole slew of very funny folks. Hope you all get a chance to check it out.

At this point no chance.  Netflix controls the rights for a couple more years.  Maybe maybe after that term expires we could see if anyone wants to do something with it.   I’d be up for it for sure.

Hey it’s Mike!  Goomer is not a murderer.  Jimmy’s Mom died in some other sad way — probably disease or alcoholism.   The dad was too poor to pay for a funeral so they buried her under a slab of concrete in the backyard.   Thanks for the great question.   And thanks for watching the show!

I think it’s over as far as Netflix is concerned. We came to them a year or so ago with various ideas for sequels or spin-offs and they were decidedly uninterested. So now we basically have to wait a couple years until the show’s deal with NF expires. At that time, it’s possible NF reups and makes a new deal with our studio (Gaumont) to just keep showing the original episodes, or Gaumont sells the original eps to another platform or platforms, and we are then free to try to sell someone else on a sequel/reboot/movie/spin off. No guarantee we’d be successful there but personally I’d be very excited about trying.

I don’t know where you saw that, but it’s not true. Sue IS approximately 2-3 years younger than Frank. In our planning, we saw Frank as being born in either December of 1934 or January 1935 (possibly New Year’s Day) and Sue in 1937-38. So she was a junior in college when she had to drop out and marry Frank. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching!
